After nearly three years of absence on his primary YouTube channel, David Dobrik has officially announced his comeback, leaving many enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the fresh content.

Recently, Dobrik shared a new vlog on his primary YouTube channel in March 2022. Although he’s continued to post content on his secondary channel and has remained active on platforms like Snapchat and TikTok, followers are eagerly anticipating the resurgence of his classic YouTube content, akin to the popular Dobrik-era videos.

That long-awaited day might be approaching, as he recently posted a TikTok video in response to a fan’s request for a new vlog. In this January 6th video, titled ‘tomorrow’, Dobrik appears to be editing a video on his laptop and it seems to follow the familiar vlog style that gained him millions of subscribers.

Additionally, he incorporated Abba’s S.O.S. into the background music of his video, causing his audience to become quite acquainted with Abba’s tunes since they were often played in his vlogs.

Is it actually a vlog return?

It’s possible this video might not serve as a typical return of your favorite vlog series, but instead could be a promotional material supporting Vlog Squad member, Ilya Fedorovich, and his Xeela Fitness venture.

It’s clear that we have this information since Xeela personally shared a trailer on their Instagram for a video called “The Transformation of David Dobrik,” which is set to release on January 7th as well.

On January 7th, we’ll find out if the transformation documentary is all that’s coming, or if a new vlog will be released along with it as well.

Why did Dobrik leave YouTube?

David Dobrik temporarily stopped posting on YouTube during a period where he faced multiple accusations and controversies regarding his content.

In November 2021, Business Insider revealed an accusation against Dominykas ‘Durte Dom’ Zeglaitis, a fellow Vlog Squad member. The allegation was that he had sexually assaulted a woman who appeared in one of their vlogs. Previous accounts pointed to questionable behavior on his part, suggesting he often acted inappropriately towards women.

In just a few short months, Dobrik found himself embroiled in a high-profile feud with Jeff Wittek. A prank on their vlog took a dangerous turn when Wittek narrowly escaped death while operating an excavator. Regrettably, this incident has left Wittek harboring resentment towards Dobrik, and he has made no secret of his dislike for the YouTube star.

After that point, David has mostly stopped producing regular content and keeps a low profile, so it will certainly be intriguing to observe how his followers respond if he decides to resume vlogging.
