After undergoing a series of business transformations within the past few years, Technicolor Group has selected David Conley, an industry veteran, to serve as the new president for its visual effects brand MPC. Notable projects created by this brand include “The Jungle Book,” which won an Oscar for Visual Effects, “The Lion King,” which was nominated for an Oscar, and the upcoming prequel “Mufasa: The Lion King.

Lately, Conley has been working as an executive producer at Weta FX, where he contributed to projects such as “James Cameron’s VFX Oscar-winning ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ and Emmy VFX winning series ‘The Last of Us.’ With over two decades in the VFX sector under his belt, his resume boasts hits like “Avengers: Endgame,” “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” and “War for the Planet of the Apes.

Based in London, MPC has locations or workspaces in Montreal, Toronto, Paris, Liege, Adelaide, Bangalore, and Mumbai. Their current and future projects involve the Academy Award-contending film “Emilia Perez,” the popular series “The Boys,” as well as Disney’s live-action versions of “Snow White” and “Lilo and Stitch.

Technicolor Group includes MPC, The Mill, Mikros Animation, and Technicolor Games. In the year 2021, it offloaded its Technicolor Post division to Streamland Media. Since then, MPC has undergone several organizational and management adjustments.
