Dark Deity 2 is now available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, following its release on Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam). The game is published by indie.io and developed by Sword & Axe.

Dark Deity 2, the highly praised sequel to the popular indie tactical RPG Dark Deity, is now available on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Created by Sword & Axe LLC and published by indie.io, this is the first time the Dark Deity series has come to PlayStation and Xbox, bringing its challenging strategic gameplay, compelling story, and beautiful pixel art style to even more players.

Twenty-five years after the events of Dark Deity, the sequel takes players back to Verroa, a land still recovering from war. A new empire is rising and threatening the peace that was once restored. Dark Deity 2 is a complete story on its own, so both returning fans and new players can jump right in. You’ll lead Gwyn and Riordian, the descendants of the original heroes, and build a team of twenty unique warriors to fight against a massive, holy invasion. As the commander of the Eternal Delegation, you’ll make alliances, determine the fate of kingdoms, and battle powerful enemies through 30 chapters of fully voiced, tactical combat.

Dark Deity 2 centers around strategic, turn-based battles where your choices directly impact the outcome. You’ll lead a team of 20 powerful heroes, each specializing in one of 45 different classes. These heroes have unique skills and abilities – from powerful mages and crocodile-summoning protectors, to dangerous cultists and honorable knights – offering endless ways to build your team and combine strategies. The game features an improved system for customizing abilities with runes, rings, and skill combinations, allowing you to create unique hero builds and explore new tactical approaches.

Dark Deity 2 offers a highly customizable campaign beyond just battles, taking inspiration from fan-made randomizers. Players can adjust the game’s difficulty, change how and when characters join, and tweak stats like experience, gold, and character growth to create a uniquely challenging experience.
