While the Punisher won’t be in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again (but Jon Bernthal will return as the character next year in a Disney+ special and Spider-Man: Brand New Day), Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock will reunite with a familiar face from the Marvel Netflix series. Krysten Ritter is coming back as Jessica Jones when Born Again premieres in 2026, and we’ve gotten our first glimpse of Daredevil and Jessica Jones together again. Beyond that, I’m also excited to see Deborah Ann Woll playing Karen Page with red hair in the new Marvel show.
What To Expect From Jessica Jones In Born Again Season 2
The first season of Daredevil: Born Again ended with Matt Murdock beginning to build a team to take down Wilson Fisk, who had declared martial law and begun arresting anyone who opposed him. Jessica Jones will be joining this team, and a new photo shows Daredevil and Jessica Jones together in public.

At the end of her series (now available on Disney+ along with other former Netflix Marvel shows), Jessica Jones was preparing to leave New York City, but she had a change of heart after seemingly hearing the voice of her deceased tormentor, Kilgrave, encouraging her. We don’t yet know what Jessica has been up to since then, but actor Charlie Cox recently told Entertainment Weekly about reuniting with Krysten Ritter for the first time since they appeared together in The Defenders:
We agreed it’s important to include some of our most popular material and maintain that familiar energy. We should playfully tease each other, but also stay focused on telling the story effectively.
Brad Winderbaum explained that Jessica Jones will appear in Season 2 of Born Again to a similar extent as the Punisher did in Season 1 – likely in just a few episodes. However, this appearance could pave the way for her return in a potential Season 3. Winderbaum also highlighted Matt Murdock’s significant role in the new season, calling him a “revolutionary,” a theme emphasized by showrunner Dario Scardapane, who often drew parallels to the French Revolution during production, according to Charlie Cox.
What To Expect From Karen Page In Born Again Season 2
Karen Page will once again be a key ally to Matt Murdock in his battle against Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin. While she was a major character in the original Daredevil series, her role was smaller in Season 1 of Daredevil: Born Again, appearing only in the first and last episodes. However, fans of Karen Page can expect her to have a much bigger part in Season 2, even going undercover with disguises – as seen in a photo of her wearing a wig next to Matt. Charlie Cox recently discussed Deborah Ann Woll’s expanded role.
Wow, this season really lets Karen Page shine! I’ve been following this character for a while, and this is hands-down her strongest performance yet. She’s incredibly capable and frankly, a total badass. It’s fascinating because you get the sense that both Charlie and Matt have always known this strength was lurking beneath the surface, and now we finally get to see it fully unleashed.
Jessica Jones is a hands-on fighter, using her strength and speed to take down villains. Karen Page, however, will support the fight from behind the scenes. Though I personally prefer Karen as a blonde, the new red hair is a smart look for her, helping her stay undercover. This likely means she’s leaving San Francisco, where she moved after the death of Foggy Nelson.
Also returning is Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, though his role isn’t yet clear. New cast members for Season 2 include Matthew Lillard as the powerful Mr. Charles and Lili Taylor as New York Governor Margaret McCaffrey. Daredevil: Born Again starts streaming on Disney+ on March 4th, and I’m excited to see what obstacles Matt faces with Jessica, Karen, and the rest of his allies.
