Daredevil fans are concerned after Disney removed the specific release date of March 4, 2026, for the upcoming series from its official press website. The site now only states the show will premiere sometime in 2026. While there could be various reasons for this change, many fans are interpreting it as a possible delay, meaning they may have to wait longer to see Daredevil’s return.
Marvel’s Brad Winderbaum has stated that Daredevil: Born Again will be different from other streaming series, intended as a yearly event on Disney+. While they’re already planning future seasons, including a third, the fast production schedule might be creating challenges during the editing and finishing process.
Marvel’s website currently says the show will come out in March 2026, so any changes to that date are likely to be announced soon – perhaps within days or weeks. So far, there haven’t been any reports of issues with making the show, and Marvel Studios usually can’t keep major filming or editing delays a secret.
‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Could Run for Years

Disney+
Despite releasing a lot of content on Disney+, Marvel Studios hasn’t renewed many of its live-action shows for multiple seasons. Currently, only Loki has received a traditional second season. While WandaVision is getting follow-up series with Agatha All Along and the planned VisionQuest, these aren’t being called “Season 2.” Animated shows like X-Men ’97 and What If…? are exceptions, having received multiple seasons as well.
As a huge MCU fan, I’m really excited about Daredevil: Born Again. It looks like it’s going to be different from what we’ve seen before – apparently, it’s aiming to be the first truly ongoing TV series in the MCU. Kevin Feige even mentioned that…
We’re following a standard development process. We create a lot of content, but only release what we believe is truly excellent and has the potential to run for several seasons. For example, we envision ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ releasing every March as long as viewers continue to enjoy it.
Excitement is building for Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, especially with the return of Jessica Jones! Krysten Ritter is stepping back into her role as the super-powered detective for the first time since 2019, continuing the show’s practice of bringing back popular characters from older Marvel series.
It’s unlikely we’ll know soon if the release of Season 2 has been pushed back. Disney usually doesn’t announce specific dates until shortly before a show premieres. Currently, Daredevil: Born Again is still expected in March 2026, but it might not be released at the very beginning of the month as originally thought.
