Daniel Craig’s No Time to Die Finds Success on Prime Video 5 Years Later

Daniel Craig’s fifth and final film as James Bond is unexpectedly gaining popularity on streaming services, almost five years after it first came out in theaters. The movie was recently made available on Amazon’s Prime Video platform.

According to FlixPatrol, No Time to Die is currently ranked #5 among the Top 10 Movies on Prime Video in the United States, as of October 5, 2025. Even though it was only recently added to the streaming service, No Time to Die is already performing very well in the U.S., and it’s seeing comparable results internationally. The movie is currently charting in eight countries on Prime Video, and it’s also proving to be a hit on Video on Demand (VOD) in countries where it’s not available for streaming on Prime. The film has become an even more important installment in the James Bond franchise.

As a long-time Bond fan, I was really excited for No Time to Die, and it definitely delivered! It was amazing to see Daniel Craig take on the role of the iconic MI6 agent one last time. The story kicks off with Bond being brought in by the CIA to rescue a kidnapped scientist, which quickly leads to a huge confrontation. He ends up facing a seriously powerful villain who has access to technology that could wipe out millions of people. And it wasn’t just Craig who shined; Léa Seydoux returned as Bond’s love, Dr. Madeleine Swann, and Bohemian Rhapsody star Rami Malek was chilling as the bioterrorist Lyutsifer Safin.

When it came out in 2021, the film was well-received by both critics and viewers. Rotten Tomatoes certified the movie as ‘Fresh’ with an 83% approval rating. Reviewers particularly highlighted Daniel Craig’s performance as James Bond, noting that the film provides a satisfying conclusion to his time in the role.

Viewers really loved the film, and No Time to Die currently boasts an 88% audience score based on more than 10,000 verified reviews. Most viewers agree that, despite its length, the movie delivers a substantial and engaging story, giving fans a thrilling and satisfying send-off to Daniel Craig’s time as James Bond.

At the box office, No Time to Die did very well. It earned over $774 million globally, making it one of the year’s biggest hits and the third-highest-grossing James Bond movie ever. The film also received nominations, and ultimately won Best Original Song for Billie Eilish’s ‘No Time to Die.’

Amazon MGM Recently Took Over Creative Control of the Bond Franchise

In February, Amazon MGM officially took complete creative charge of the James Bond film series. This means No Time to Die was the last film to be made with Albert R. Broccoli, Michael G. Wilson, or Barbara Broccoli as producers. Work on the next installment will reportedly begin sometime next year.

Currently, Amazon hasn’t announced a release date for its first Bond movie, but the studio has been sharing details about the future of the series. Dune director Denis Villeneuve is set to direct, and Steven Knight is writing the script. According to an Amazon executive, “We are committed to honoring the legacy of this iconic character while bringing a fresh, exotic new chapter to audiences around the world.”

No Time to Die is now streaming on Prime Video.
