Be warned! This article contains spoilers for the recent “Disney Night” episode of *Dancing with the Stars* Season 34. If you haven’t watched it yet, you can stream it with a Disney+ subscription, but proceed with caution!
Disney Night is consistently a highlight of *Dancing with the Stars*, and the recent episode proved why. The show really goes all out, creating amazing performances with elaborate costumes and sets that celebrate classic Disney films and songs. I’ve also been particularly enjoying the creative and often over-the-top costumes from professional dancer Alan Bersten.
Last season, Bersten famously dressed as a donkey for Ilona Maher’s *Encantothemed dance. This year, he outdid himself with his routine alongside Elaine Hendrix! His transformation was so complete he was almost unrecognizable – and it was fantastic.
Alan Dressed As An Alien For The Latest Disney Night
I was really thrown when Alan Bersten unexpectedly appeared on stage dressed as an alien! My first thought was that it was a quirky nod to the classic show *My Favorite Martian*, but it turned out to be a tribute to the Space Mountain ride. I appreciate that they honored the ride’s 50th anniversary, even though the alien costume didn’t look like anything I’ve ever seen from the attraction.
Even so, I really admire the extensive makeup work the *Dancing with the Stars* professional had for this performance. The transformation was so complete that if I hadn’t known it was Alan Bersten under all that makeup and with those alien ears, I wouldn’t have recognized him.

I’m Already Looking Forward To What Alan Will Do Next Year
Alan Bersten needs to continue his amazing costume tradition on future seasons of *Dancing with the Stars*, especially during Disney Night. I’d be really disappointed if he didn’t bring another incredibly creative outfit next year, and I think he has so much more potential to impress with his costume choices – we’ve only seen a small glimpse of what he can do!

Andy Richter from Dancing With The Stars is sharing really funny rehearsal videos, which I love! However, they’re not showing anything about the thing I’m most concerned about for the next performance.
I’m really excited about the possibility of seeing Alan Bersten in the new *Star Wars* movie, *The Mandalorian And Grogu*! I think it would be amazing if they could find a way to get him involved – imagine him dressed as a Rodian or even a tougher version of Jabba the Hutt’s son! And honestly, seeing him dance in one of those costumes? That would absolutely blow up the internet. I really think it’s a fantastic idea and would be a huge hit!
Creating Alan Bersten’s costumes for Disney Night is definitely the most difficult part, especially when it comes to the dancing. He wouldn’t want a costume to hinder his performance and potentially cause Elaine Hendrix to be eliminated, so we make sure his outfits allow for plenty of movement and visibility so he can perform flawlessly.
I really hope the amazing creativity we’ve seen in the last two Disney Nights keeps happening!

Disney+ offers a streaming library including Marvel, Star Wars, and *Dancing With The Stars*. You can subscribe for as little as $9.99 per month with ads (price increases to $11.99/month on October 21, 2025). An ad-free plan is available for $15.99 a month (increasing to $18.99/month on October 21, 2025), or you can save 16% by paying $159.99 for an annual subscription. See the deal here.
You can watch *Dancing With The Stars* on ABC every Tuesday at 8 p.m. Eastern. I’m really enjoying this season and still rooting for several contestants, but I’m starting to get nervous that one of my favorites might be eliminated next week.
