Reikon Games is excited to unveil the trailer for Ruiner 2, the follow-up to the popular top-down shooter. This sequel transforms the Ruiner experience into a fast-paced, action-packed Cyberpunk ARPG. Players will once again explore the gritty, urban landscape of Rengkok.
In Ruiner 2, DEATH IS EARNED.
Ruiner 2 returns to the cyberpunk city of Rengkok, where corporations have ultimate control – even over death itself. Residents are locked into a system where dying is a violation of their contracts, designed to keep them alive, working, and in constant suffering. There’s no escaping this bleak reality unless you fight for your freedom. Players must rebel against the system and force their way out of this oppressive world.
There’s no escape – you have to fight your way through. Whether you’re facing street gangs or powerful corporations, you’ll either be hunting or hunted. Danger comes from all sides, and showing mercy means certain death.
RUINER 2 builds on the fast-paced action of the original RUINER, evolving it into a full-fledged Action RPG. A key new feature is the “Shell System,” which lets players switch between different characters – called Shells – earned by defeating bosses. This means you’re not locked into a single class and can customize your playstyle.
When playing alone, you control up to three powerful Shells at once, switching between them instantly to change your tactics during combat. This allows you to create amazing combos using ‘Synergies’ – linking abilities between different Shells. The key to victory is knowing when to switch! In co-op mode, up to three players can team up, each controlling their own Shells. With more players and more Shells, the possibilities for Synergies increase, and the battles become even more intense.
Game Director Marek Roefler shared that the team is passionate about action RPGs, and Ruiner 2 is the game they’ve always dreamed of creating. They developed the ‘Shell System’ because they enjoy experimenting with different character builds and powerful combinations, but didn’t want players to be stuck with a single character for a long time. The game is designed for players who love to try out new builds, quickly switch between them, and find unexpected combinations that create exciting gameplay.
Ruiner 2 is currently in development for PC and available for wishlisting.
