The tweet suggests events will occur on December 10th – the original release date of Cyberpunk 2077 in 2020 – and on December 12th, potentially related to the character Solomon Reed. Then, on December 19th, we expect to hear from Song So Mi.

Okay, so CD Projekt Red is getting everyone hyped, and I’m totally on board! They’ve really worked hard to make Cyberpunk 2077 amazing after a rough start, constantly fixing things and adding improvements. All that work led to the fantastic Phantom Liberty expansion – that’s where characters like Reed and Songbird came from – and they haven’t stopped there, continuing to add even more to the game. I’m excited to see what they’re teasing next!
Beyond improvements to how the game plays and a detailed photo mode, Cyberpunk 2077 has become one of CD Projekt Red’s most successful titles. The game’s turnaround is a remarkable story in the gaming world, and it prompted significant changes within the development studio.
Development of Cyberpunk 2 began several years ago, with teams at CD Projekt Red’s studios in Warsaw, Vancouver, and Boston. The company recently announced that 135 people are now working on the game, though most of the studio’s resources are currently focused on the next Witcher game.
By 2027, the company plans to have more than 300 developers working on Cyberpunk 2. They’re also currently creating a multiplayer Witcher game, a brand new game called Hadar, a remake of the first Witcher game, and another title based on one of their existing franchises.
