If you haven’t caught it yet, FaZe Clan faced a heartbreaking loss in the Playoffs Stage of the Perfect World Shanghai Major, with Team Spirit emerging as the champions instead. Remarkably, their talented young sniper, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, broke records at this Counter-Strike Major Championship by becoming the youngest MVP ever (at 17 years and 324 days old) and also earning the highest player rating of all time.
In a Major tournament, achieving a HLTV rating of 1.49 over its entirety is undeniably impressive. However, that’s not the only record Danil “donk” Kryshkovets managed to shatter during this competition.
Remarkably surpassing previous records, the talented young player set a new milestone by achieving the highest number of ‘Aces’ in a Major Championship, spanning from DreamHack Winter 2013 to Shanghai Major 2024, an unprecedented feat in esports history.
If you’re unfamiliar with the term, an Ace refers to a situation in CS2 where a single player manages to eliminate all five opponents in a single round. Previously, Egor “flamie” Vasilyev held this record for almost six years, achieving it during NAVI’s performance at the IEM Katowice Major 2019 tournament.
