CRPG Solasta II now available on Steam in Early Access

Tactical Adventures has announced that Solasta II is now available via Steam Early Access.

The developers plan to have Solasta II in Early Access for approximately one year. By the end of this period, the main story will be complete with characters able to reach level 10. They also intend to add online co-op, more character classes and races, new areas to explore, more creatures, and additional quests during Early Access.

So, Tactical Adventures has already given us a sneak peek at some of the voice actors working on the game. I’m really excited to hear what they bring to the roles – they’ve got Amelia Tyler, Ben Starr, Devora Wilde, and Ellen Thomas on board, which is a fantastic lineup!

Solasta II is officially released! You can now play the first chapter of this epic adventure through Steam Early Access.

Solasta II is created by passionate fans of classic tabletop role-playing games. It focuses on giving players meaningful choices, challenging tactical combat, and a strong sense of adventure. By releasing an Early Access version, the developers are inviting players to join them in the game’s development and help make it the best it can be.

What To Expect From Early Access Day 1

  • A substantial opening portion of the campaign covering the majority of Act 1, placing players into the heart of Neokos, an unknown continent caught in escalating political, ideological and divine conflict.  
  • Tactical turn-based combat based on the 2024 D&D ruleset that tests players’ ability to prepare, adapt and react to varying encounters.
  • Deep party creation and customization, with four fully player-controlled characters shaped through appearance, background, personality and class choices. There are also four different ancestries to choose from – Dwarf, Elf, Halfling and Human.  
  • Six playable classes, and 13 different subclasses available at launch (a deep dive on all of these subclasses can be found here):

  • Key NPCs voiced by award winning voice actors – Amelia Tyler (Baldur’s Gate 3, Hades 2), Ben Starr (Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Final Fantasy XVI), Devora Wilde (Baldur’s Gate 3, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and Ellen Thomas (Arcane, Doctor Who). 
  • A hex-based world map, where brave explorers will march into the unknown on their journey through Neokos. Hidden encounters, timed events, unmarked areas and some of the toughest combat clashes via random elite boss spawns are all only ever one hex away from being discovered. 

This tactical RPG tells the story of four adopted siblings who come home after their mother’s death, only to find themselves caught up in an ancient conflict. They’ll uncover secrets about their family’s past, facing supernatural forces and broken promises that threaten the world. Your choices and the truths you discover will shape the story’s ending and determine who remains by your side.

Solasta II is a remarkably ambitious project created by a small team of less than 40 developers at Tactical Adventures. The current Early Access version is just the start, and the developers have already planned future updates including multiplayer functionality and increased level caps.
