Crimson Desert: Where to Find Gold Bars

Many open world games don’t focus heavily on money, but Crimson Desert is different. Because you heal by eating food – and buying it is simpler than constantly cooking – having plenty of Silver to stock up on supplies is essential.

Upgrading your weapons and armor is also simplified by the fact that you can buy many of the necessary materials from merchants. This is generally much quicker and more convenient than finding them yourself in the game world.

Earning a lot of Silver will make playing Crimson Desert much easier. A fast way to get Silver is by finding Gold Bars and then selling or investing them. Keep reading to find out where to locate Gold Bars in the game.

Where to Find Gold Bars in Crimson Desert

You can find Gold Bars in various locations within the large world of Crimson Desert. But a reliable way to get one is by searching the fireplace inside Lioncrest Manor in Hernand.

You can also find Gold Bars by stealing from nobles as they walk around Hernand. While it’s not a sure thing – not every noble carries them – many do. Remember, you’ll need to wear a mask to steal, and you can buy masks from any black market merchant.

Okay, so I’ve been figuring out the best way to snag Gold Bars in Crimson Desert, and honestly, crafting them is the way to go. You need to find the recipe first, and I’ll walk you through exactly how to do that in the next part of this guide.

How to Get the Gold Bar Crafting Recipe

You can learn how to make Gold Bars by finding the recipe on the third floor of the Spire of Insight. The image above shows where to find the Spire if you’re not already familiar with it.

You’ll need to solve a puzzle to get to the third floor of the Spire of Insight – we have a complete walkthrough available on our site. Once you’re there, you’ll find the recipe for crafting the Gold Bar attached to the wall.

Once you find the recipe for Gold Bars, take a look at it so your character learns how to make them. You’ll need these materials: 3 Brimstone, 3 Mercury, and 10 Iron Ore. Then, you can craft a Gold Bar using any Cauldron you find.

How to Use Gold Bars

You might think selling Gold Bars to any merchant for 190 Silver each is a good idea, but it’s actually better to invest or trade them at a bank. You’ll earn a lot more Silver that way! Banks are located in all major cities and are marked with the icon shown below.

Exchanging a Gold Bar at a bank gives you 500 Silver, a substantial amount of in-game currency in Crimson Desert. This Silver will go a long way, helping you buy essential supplies like food from merchants and better prepare for challenging boss battles.

Okay, so about those Gold Bars… if you want to invest them, you’ll first need to get a Strongbox from the bank – it costs 100 Silver. Once you have that, you can put a Gold Bar in and choose how risky you want to be. There are three options: Low, Medium, or High risk, so pick the one you’re comfortable with!

Your investment risk level affects how much money you could make. Lower-risk options are safer and less likely to result in losses, but they also offer smaller potential gains. Higher-risk options could lead to bigger rewards, but also carry a greater chance of losing money.
