A fun part of Crimson Desert is collecting pets! You can have up to 30 furry friends – cats and dogs – to join you on your journey across Pywell, though only one can be active at a time.
One of the greatest joys of owning a pet is getting to customize their look with fun accessories like hats, helmets, and even miniature bow and arrows – basically, letting them express their own unique style. It’s not just people who can look cool!
Want to give your pets a stylish look in Crimson Desert? This guide will show you how to unlock armor for your cats and dogs.
How to Get Pet Armor in Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert has two shops where you can buy armor for your pets. The first one is in Pororin village, on the northeastern side, and is marked with a paw print on the map. You can see its location in the image below.
You need to finish the “Unreachable Village” quest before you can visit Pororin Village. If you try to enter the forest nearby beforehand, your character will be put to sleep with a dart and automatically removed from the area.
During Chapter 8 of the main quest, players can buy armor for their pets at a special shop in the southwestern area of Demeniss City. You can find the shop’s location in the image below.
The more you interact with these merchants – by buying from them or giving them gifts – the more they’ll trust you. Specifically, building trust with pet shop merchants will unlock new types of armor for your pets to buy.
You’ll only see pet armor shops after you’ve tamed your first pet. Taming a pet means building up its trust to 100, which officially makes it yours. You can increase a pet’s trust by feeding it – just place food on the ground – or by petting it.
You can’t fully tame a pet in just one day. You’ll need to interact with it over several days to build up enough trust. If you want to speed things up, sleeping in a bed will advance the game’s time.
How to Equip Pet Armor
Now that you’ve learned how to obtain pet armor in Crimson Desert, let’s get it equipped to your pet. Here’s how to do it:
- Go to the Inventory tab.
- Navigate over to the Pets tab.
- Switch to the pet you want to change armor for.
- Summon that pet.
- Go into your inventory and select the pet armor to equip it.
Okay, so I figured out something about pet armor. It actually has to stay in your inventory for your pet to wear it, which is kinda annoying. What I’ve been doing is putting any pet armor I’m not actively using into my camp’s storage chest. It frees up a ton of space in my bag, and my pet still looks awesome with the gear I do have equipped!
