Crimson Desert Guide – How to Pay Fines, Bounties & Debt

If you break the law in Crimson Desert, you’ll likely have to pay fines, settle debts, or clear bounties. New players might find this confusing, so we’ve put together this guide to explain how the payment system works. Let’s get started!

How Do You Pay off Fines & Bounties in Crimson Desert?

If you need to pay fines or bounties in Crimson Desert, visit any Church and talk to the Confessional. Choose the “Buy Writ of Absolution” option to see a list of your outstanding fines and bounties, then select the one you want to pay.

That covers everything you need to know about paying fines and bounties in Crimson Desert. If you’re caught breaking the law by guards, you’ll be arrested, and your fines will be paid automatically.

The process is generally straightforward, particularly for smaller bounties. Since the Church of Hernand is located in the starting town, accessing a confessional to deal with it is easy. However, if you don’t have enough money, paying off your bounty can become more difficult.

How to pay off your Debts in Crimson Desert

If your bail amount is higher than the money you have, and you’re arrested, you’ll go into debt. Your account will be marked in red to show you owe money.

Any money you earn will automatically go towards paying off your debt. For instance, if you owe 3.97 Silver and find 47 Copper from a Bandit, you won’t receive the Copper directly. Instead, it will be used to reduce your debt to 3.50 Silver.

Okay, so making money in Crimson Desert is actually pretty easy, which is awesome! I’ve found I can rack up cash quickly just by selling stuff I find, taking down bandits – it’s not even that hard – and putting some gold in the bank. Seriously, it doesn’t take much effort at all to build up a nice little fortune.

This covers everything you need to manage and pay off fines, bounties, and debts in Crimson Desert. We hope this guide is helpful, especially for new players. While Crimson Desert can seem complex, understanding the core gameplay systems will ultimately make you a more skilled player.
