You can design your perfect home, grow crops, care for pets, and connect with friends online – it’s all about unwinding and enjoying a simpler pace.

This game offers a fresh take on the familiar farming genre, making it really stand out. Even if you’re not familiar with Doraemon, if you enjoyed games like Harvest Moon, you’ll likely love this one.

9. Ooblets

Okay, so Ooblets is unlike any other farming game I’ve played. Instead of growing crops, you’re actually growing these little slime creatures – the Ooblets themselves! Then, the really weird part? You have them battle each other in dance-offs that play out like card battles. It’s a super strange mix of genres, but honestly, it’s what makes it so fun!

Ooblets aren’t just adorable creatures that dance – they can also help you manage and improve your farm. If you like games like Heartopia, you’ll probably enjoy Ooblets, which combines cute, colorful gameplay with elements reminiscent of Pokémon.

8. Infinity Nikki

As a huge Infinity Nikki fan, the first thing that really hit me was just how beautiful the game is! Seriously, the world they’ve created is gorgeous, with amazing scenery everywhere you look. And the characters? They’re so elegant and almost look like porcelain dolls, and I love the cute little animal companions they have too!

While it’s a cozy experience perfect for losing yourself in, it also offers more depth than simple decorating games, making it a great choice if you’re looking for something a bit more engaging.

Ever dreamed of living alongside Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and all your favorite Disney characters? Disney Dreamlight Valley lets you do just that! You get to build and customize your own village with beloved Disney friends, using magic to grow and explore a wonderful, expanding world. It’s like creating your very own magical kingdom.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is similar to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but it’s arguably more focused on Disney characters and stories than on challenging gameplay or building up an island. While Animal Crossing isn’t a difficult game, Dreamlight Valley really emphasizes the Disney universe above all else.

If you’d prefer a Pokémon game focused on building friendships instead of collecting them, Pokopia is perfect for you. It’s a relaxing and enjoyable adventure that both longtime fans and newcomers will love.

4. Hello Kitty Island Adventure

I absolutely adore Hello Kitty, so I was incredibly excited when I heard about Hello Kitty Island Adventure! The game is instantly enjoyable – you’re immediately dropped onto an island where you get to befriend lots of Sanrio characters like Badtz Maru and Kuromi. The more you connect with the islanders and build friendships, the more missions you unlock and the more cool items you can earn to personalize your game.

This list includes several charming and relaxed life simulation games, but Hello Kitty Island Adventure is the cutest by far. If you want a sweet and simple game to play, I definitely suggest giving it a try.

3. Stardew Valley

It’s no surprise Stardew Valley made the list. It’s become the standard for relaxing farm simulation games. Inspired by the classic Harvest Moon series, Stardew Valley puts you in charge of an inherited farm. You’ll plant and harvest crops, mine for resources, care for animals, and even fish, all while building up your farm and befriending the people in town.

Cozy games have been around for a while, but Animal Crossing: New Horizons is likely the biggest reason they’ve become so popular recently. It’s a must-play for anyone who enjoys the genre, especially because it helped people connect with each other when many were feeling isolated. The game continues to be a favorite, and regular updates have kept it fresh and engaging.

Even though I don’t love Tom Nook’s role as a landlord, building and designing my island, collecting rare fish, and visiting friends’ islands make Animal Crossing: New Horizons really enjoyable. If you’re a fan of Heartopia, you’ll probably like this game too.
