Confused about Mandala in The Bazaar? It’s simpler than you expect

Engaging in free-to-play game development involves a delicate balance between revenue generation and player satisfaction. Developers must strike a harmonious chord, ensuring income while avoiding practices that may deter players. Any discord can lead to a game’s eventual decline, as was nearly the case with Reynad’s successful production, The Bazaar. During its Open Beta phase, fans expressed displeasure with the Prize Pass mechanism. However, it appears these concerns have been addressed and rectified, now offering a more equitable way for players to acquire item packs.

Recently, changes have been made beyond this adjustment, including the introduction of a new playable character – Mak – and the start of a new season featuring an enigmatic encounter with Mandala. The question remains: what is Mandala’s role, and is it effective? Let us attempt to answer these questions.

Mandala in The Bazaar explained

As a gamer, diving into the vibrant world of Bazaar feels like stepping into a treasure trove filled with hundreds of exclusive loot and dozens of thrilling encounters that can tip the balance of battles in my favor. The creative minds behind Tempo Storm seem to be working tirelessly, continually pumping out fresh content for their game at an impressive rate. However, there’s one intriguing addition in version 1.0 of

In the patch notes, Mandala is explained as “An experience that alters your items into distinct alternatives.” Meanwhile, the event itself is referred to as “Altering your items into something fresh.” Though this doesn’t provide extensive information on its own, it appears that Mandala merely swaps one item of your choice and makes it into a different one while preserving its rarity, dimensions, and enchantments (if applicable, as some items may not support all enchantment types). At present, there are only two ways to activate it – to alter the smallest or medium-sized item located on the left side.

In this scenario, if an enchanted object you possess isn’t functioning optimally with the item you’ve selected, remember that just because the enchantment doesn’t suit your current item doesn’t mean it won’t work well with others. By choosing to reroll the item instead of the enchantment itself, you open up new possibilities. This tactic could potentially make the enchanted object more useful. However, keep in mind that rerolling is a risky move, but one that might be worth taking before selling the item. Alternatively, it may be wiser to select a different encounter if the current one doesn’t seem beneficial for your current setup.

Additionally, remember that many modifications and novel elements found in newly released seasons might be revised or altered as more players explore and tinker with them. Always refer to the most recent update notes to ensure that nothing has been adjusted or reworked. Enjoy your gaming experience!
