Conan O’Brien’s Clueless Gamer Is Back With Borderlands 4 To Support Charity

I can’t help but get excited when my favorite comedian, Conan O’Brien, brings back his hilarious “Clueless Gamer” segment! In the latest installment, we dive deep into the universe of Borderlands 4, all while raising funds for a fantastic cause.

In this part of the show, Conan O’Brien teams up with Brian Long and Liz Day – the individuals who contributed the highest amounts in a CharityBuzz auction for Next for Autism – to play Borderlands 4. As usual, Conan showcases his signature style, poking fun at the game and struggling mightily. He particularly takes jabs at Claptrap for being overly annoying, and wonders aloud why a game with such absurd elements even requires a storyline.

Next for Autism is a nonprofit organization that creates and implements programs aimed at assisting individuals with autism. Long and Day made the largest donation at the auction, earning them the opportunity to play a game with O’Brien.

The popular series “Clueless Gamer” consistently garnered tens of millions of views across multiple episodes, however, it took a brief hiatus. The most recent episode before the release of Borderlands 4 was aired in 2024, featuring the director’s cut of Death Stranding.

One particular episode of Clueless Gamer featured Seth Rogen and Zach Efron creating an inappropriate drawing on O’Brien’s face while playing Mario Kart 8. The program garnered immense popularity, leading to discussions about a potential spin-off series on TBS; however, this idea never materialized.

In a twist of events, Borderlands 4 officially drops on September 12. However, the excitement kicks off a day early at 9 PM Pacific Time on September 11.
