Comedian Bert Kreischer’s tour bus goes up in flames and he’s lucky to be alive

I was so shocked to hear about Bert Kreischer’s tour bus catching fire! He said he feels incredibly lucky to be alive, which is totally understandable – everything he owned on the road was destroyed in the blaze. It’s just a huge relief he wasn’t seriously hurt.

Comedian Bert Kreischer is currently touring the world with his ‘Permission to Party’ show, and while traveling from Fargo, North Dakota, something unexpected happened.

On March 15th, the comedian and his team experienced a tire blowout while traveling on their bus – the front rear tire completely came off the wheel. After waiting for about two hours for help, they ultimately decided to abandon the bus and drive to Cedar Rapids instead.

While they were away, the bus suddenly caught fire and burned completely, destroying everything inside. Bert believes the flat tire is what actually kept him and his team safe.

Bert Kreischer says flat tire saved his life after tour bus erupted in flames

The 53-year-old comedian explained what happened and how fast the fire grew in a story shared on Instagram.

According to Bert, their bus caught fire while they were traveling between Fargo and Cedar Rapids. Luckily, everyone is okay, and the driver, Dewey, escaped in time. He said the fire started and spread incredibly quickly – the whole bus was engulfed in flames within just 15 seconds.

Luckily, if we’d fallen asleep on the bus, we would have been stuck in the back and wouldn’t have survived. The flat tire, as frustrating as it was, actually saved us. So, even when things are difficult, remember that everything happens for a reason and that good can come from bad situations.

Photos and videos from Bert show the bus is a total loss, completely destroyed by fire.

As of today, the tour is still happening as scheduled. His next performances are set for March 19th in Saginaw, Michigan, March 20th in Pittsburgh, and several shows in Canada later in the month.
