The announcement of Citadelle des Morts is just another feather in their cap. With its round-based map set in a massive European castle and the continuation of the Terminus Easter-egg quest, it promises to be an exciting addition to the Zombies universe.
In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, two fresh Zombie maps were initially released upon launch, and another one is set to debut as part of a midseason update, which is coming in less than two weeks’ time. The developers, Treyarch, have shared some details about the upcoming Citadelle des Morts map for the Zombies game mode. Here’s what we know so far about the new Zombies map.
As an excited fan, I can’t help but share the latest news about Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone! The roadmap for Season 1 hinted at the arrival of Citadelle des Morts midway through the season, and now Treyarch has confirmed that we’ll be able to explore this map on December 5. Although Activision hasn’t announced a specific date for the “Reloaded” update in the middle of the season, there’s a strong possibility that this map will drop alongside other Season 1 content for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. The “Citadelle des Morts” is a fresh map design, taking place in a colossal European castle. The plot unfolds post-Terminus Easter-egg mission events. Notably, Treyarch has verified that the primary story quest for “Citadelle des Morts” will be active at the same time as the map’s release.
In addition to the thrill of battling zombies, players should anticipate fresh additions like the newly designed Perk-a-Cola, a novel field upgrade, an innovative ammo modification, and additional Season 1 Augments to uncover. However, for the exact details about these particular features, you’ll have to wait until we’re closer to the update.
The creators of Zombies have introduced a Director mode in Liberty Falls and Terminus, which will guide players through the story missions. This feature is scheduled to be released following the launch of Citadelle des Morts, allowing players to discover the secret Easter egg paths on their own for the first time.
