2025’s Fathom’s Grand Cinema Retrospective Series will highlight milestone tributes for movies such as “Clueless”, “Sunset Boulevard” and “The Sound of Music”. The lineup was revealed by Ray Nutt, CEO of Fathom Entertainment, during CinemaCon in Las Vegas. Notably, each film will be preceded by a special introduction from esteemed film critic and historian Leonard Maltin. This upcoming series will represent the third year that Leonard Maltin has provided exclusive introductions for this theatrical screening event.
As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the charm of timeless, everlasting films remains a cornerstone in our diverse collection. This year, Fathom Events is overjoyed with its selection of classic films and is excited to partner once more with Leonard Maltin to shine a light on these cinematic gems.
The complete Fathom Big Screen Classic series for 2025 features six movies: “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” on June 14-15, 18; “Clueless” on June 29 and 30; “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” on July 13 and 16; “Sunset Boulevard” on August 3 and 4; “The Sound of Music” on September 13, 14 and 17; and “Rocky IV” on November 5 and 9.
Four out of the six spotlighted movies are anniversary showcases: we’re marking the 30th for “Clueless,” the 50th for “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” the 60th for “The Sound of Music,” and the 75th for “Sunset Boulevard.” The screenings of “Rocky IV” will showcase the ‘Ultimate Director’s Edition.’
