It’s been a busy year for Christina Haack! She debuted a popular new home renovation show, The Flip Off, alongside her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife, Heather Rae. Surprisingly, she’s become close friends with Heather and has also finalized her difficult third divorce. Now in a new relationship with Chris Larocca, Christina says she’s embracing a confident, carefree attitude and isn’t worried about what others think.

What Did Christina Haack Say About Being In Her ‘Unapologetic’ Era?

If nothing else, one could say that HGTV star Christina Haack has been pretty open about her personal troubles, so she’s definitely already admitted that 2025 has been a “wild ride” for her. With all of the major changes in her life over the past several years, she’s recently had her complicated relationship with the El Moussas and her new boyfriend to bolster her, but has still seen a number of detractors. She recently took to Instagram to address them, and said, in part:

I’ve been thinking about this current moment and how freeing it feels to just be yourself, unapologetically happy. Looking back at something I posted recently, it struck me how sad it must be for people who can’t embrace that. Honestly, I’m grateful I’ve never let the negativity I sometimes see online – especially on Reddit – get to me. I really think it would have diminished who I am if I had.

That’s a good point! I checked her previous posts and noticed they both showed her with a group of blonde friends. While there wasn’t a huge amount of negative feedback on those pictures, it wasn’t completely absent either—mostly people commented on how much the women resembled each other. She shared this with a promotional image for her champagne, and she looks perfectly unconcerned with any criticism, just as she claims. She also posted the picture on her Instagram Stories, and she really seems unfazed.

Many of Haack’s fans were surprised by her divorce filing this summer, which brought more public difficulties for the designer. She’s been filming Season 2 of The Flip Off since last fall – it’s expected to air in 2026 – and recently shared that she now understands she previously accepted a lot of turmoil in her personal life as normal.

The cast of ‘Flip Out’ has been hinting at a new love interest for Christina Haack, but I suspect they’re deliberately misleading fans.

Even though things were difficult, the mother of three realized how helpful it was to change her way of thinking. She also shared that experiencing calmness now feels wonderful. She went on to say:

Honestly, it just makes me sad when people can’t accept a simple holiday greeting and have to bring negativity into things! I’ve been really inspired by this entrepreneur’s attitude lately – she’s said it’s been the year she finally protected her peace, and her trick is just refusing to let negativity define her. It’s awesome, and she seems determined to carry that energy into the new year. It’s a great reminder for all of us, really!
