She expressed her affection, stating, ‘Empathy should never be ridiculed or mocked.’ She found it astonishing that the White House had the audacity to devote time to comment on such a matter. To her, it was appalling, pathetic, embarrassing, and childish behavior.
After receiving criticism from conservative figures over a tearful Instagram post, Selena Gomez swiftly removed it. In response to the backlash, she posted: “It seems empathy for others isn’t acceptable.” Meanwhile, Trump’s White House countered with a video entitled “Moms of Victims of Illegal Immigrants Criticize Selena Gomez: You Didn’t Shed Tears for Our Daughters.” This video combined footage of Gomez crying with interviews from three women who claimed their children were murdered by undocumented individuals.
Gomez expressed her deep apologies in an Instagram video, stating that she’s troubled by the fact that innocent children are being harmed and she doesn’t understand it. She sincerely regrets the situation, wishes she could help but is unable to, and is at a loss as to what actions to take. However, she vows to try everything within her power to make a difference.
In response to the video, Alexis Nungaray expressed doubt, saying it was hard to accept as authentic since the person appeared to be an actress. Tammy Nobles, on the other hand, voiced her happiness that Trump had won and was pleased about one of the early bills aimed at helping with immigration issues.
