Chris Cuomo has inked an agreement to stay on NewsNation‘s air for a few more years.
Previously working for CNN and ABC News, he moved to Nexstar’s NewsNation in the year 2022. On Monday, NewsNation disclosed that it had secured a multiyear contract with the host and journalist, allowing him to continue presenting his primetime program, “Cuomo,” every weekday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
Regarding the agreement, Cuomo expressed, “Obviously, I’m not leaving. Who else would allow me to uncover the game rather than make me participate in it? Let’s jump right into it!
Sean Compton, president of Nexstar’s networks division, praised Chris, saying his exceptional insights and commentary have significantly expanded NewsNation’s audience and reinforced our brand. He is deeply committed to NewsNation’s goal of providing ‘News for All Americans’, and we are delighted that he will continue to be a key figure in the network’s prime-time schedule.
In late 2021, after an investigation into sexual harassment allegations against his brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, Chris Cuomo resigned from CNN. During this time, it was discovered that while he worked at CNN, Chris Cuomos role extended to actively assisting his brother in his defense.
