Chloe Fineman, a cast member on “Saturday Night Live,” expresses no remorse over her criticism of Elon Musk, the show’s 2021 host, for causing her to shed tears during his appearance.
On Tuesday evening, Fineman shared on her Instagram Story (as reported by Daily Beast), “Do you recall when I faced reprimands for criticizing the nazi salute? Absolutely no regrets.” This post is in connection with Musk’s actions from the day before, which caused an uproar due to their similarity to a fascist salute.
In August 2024, Bowen Yang, a fellow cast member of Fineman’s, disclosed during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” that a male “SNL” guest host had caused several cast members to cry while going over sketches. Later in November, Fineman shared a video on TikTok, identifying Musk as the “male host” who had upset his colleagues.

It’s puzzling what he’s referring to.” Fineman stated in a now-deleted video. “In fact, I feel compelled to reveal that I was the cast member who cried during his hosting stint. And he was the host who made someone shed tears. Perhaps there were others in similar situations.
Following this, Musk provided a somewhat non-apologetic reaction on X, stating, “Honestly, it wasn’t until Thursday before Saturday that any of the sketches elicited laughter. I was concerned. I thought my ‘SNL’ performance was going to be so unfunny that it would sober up a crackhead! However, things turned out alright in the end.
