I just saw this crazy video online! Apparently, a fireworks and drone show in Hunan province, China went terribly wrong. Burning pieces started falling from the sky and landing on people in the crowd – it looks really scary, and it’s all over social media right now.
China is famous for its incredible drone shows, which often become popular on social media. These displays use hundreds of drones to create impressive images, like dragons and flowers.
A recent drone show in the country turned from a beautiful display into a frightening incident, and videos of it are now circulating widely online, attracting attention both domestically and internationally.
‘October: The Sound of Blooming Flowers’ was a nighttime show featuring drones and fireworks that created beautiful patterns in the sky, including Chinese characters and images, to celebrate the arrival of autumn.
On October 2nd, people gathered in Liuyang – a city famous for its fireworks – to watch a drone show.

Almost immediately after the drones took off, problems began. Online videos show that many of them flew off track, causing the planned patterns to be unfinished.
The drones were equipped with fireworks, creating a shower of sparks that looked like falling stars. This caused panic among the audience, and unfortunately, some small fires started on the ground. News reports indicated these fires could have grown much larger given the dry conditions.

So far, officials haven’t explained what caused the malfunctions, and no investigation has been launched yet.
News reports offer different explanations for the accident. Some people on social media suggest a problem with the main computer that controls the system may have been to blame.
Fortunately, everyone was safe after the frightening event, and the fires caused by the falling debris were quickly put out.

I was scrolling through social media and saw this crazy video, and honestly, my first thought was, “Whoa, this looks just like the beginning of a new phase in an Elden Ring boss battle!” It was that epic and unexpected.
It was inevitable, really. They had a great streak, but I’ve seen similar successes before, and all good things come to an end.
This isn’t the first time a drone show has had a dangerous problem. Earlier this January, five shows in the US were called off after two drones crashed into each other, and one of them hit a seven-year-old child.
Drones and fireworks displays often overlap, and this was recently seen in Los Angeles. In July, the LAPD used drones to identify people illegally setting off fireworks, resulting in over hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines.
