In a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, EA Sports Madden NFL 25 predicts that the Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles for the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl LIX. The Chiefs are on the brink of making history with their third Super Bowl win, but the Eagles have bolstered their team since their last championship, acquiring and drafting players such as Saquon Barkley, Jalen Carter, Zack Baun, among others. Nevertheless, only one team will emerge victorious in the season’s climactic matchup.
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl LIX Results According to Madden 25
As per Madden 25’s prediction, the Kansas City Chiefs are expected to outscore the Philadelphia Eagles 28-23 in Super Bowl LIX. With Patrick Mahomes throwing four touchdown passes and the defense keeping Jalen Hurts in check, the Chiefs were able to secure the win. Despite the Eagles getting a chance for a game-winning drive at the end, their attempt at redemption was thwarted.
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
KC | 7 | 7 | 7 | 7 | 28 |
PHI | 7 | 3 | 6 | 7 | 23 |
Initially, the Chiefs scored, making them the first team to put points on the field. DeAndre Hopkins then took off for a 19-yard touchdown catch. However, the Eagles quickly countered with Saquon Barkley scoring a 1-yard rushing touchdown just moments later.
In the second quarter, things began escalating and became problematic for the Eagles. While Patrick Mahomes threw yet another touchdown pass, this time to Marquise Brown, the Eagles managed a field goal before halftime. The Chiefs then increased their lead with another touchdown pass (to Travis Kelce) to make it 21-10.
Philadelphia narrowed the lead after Barkley scored a touchdown, but Hurts lost the ball during the two-point conversion attempt. To add insult to injury, Kansas City followed with another touchdown drive. This time, Xavier Worthy snagged a 21-yard pass, boosting KC’s score to 28-16.
Still, there was hope for the Birds yet. With just over three minutes remaining, Jalen Hurts found Jahan Dotson for a 29-yard touchdown pass. Now trailing 28-29, Philadelphia needed to hold off their opponents on defense before scoring the winning points.
As a die-hard Eagles fan, I must admit, our defense did an impressive job halting Kansas City’s offense and regaining possession. However, our offense couldn’t capitalize on the opportunity, as Jalen Hurts was limited to a mere six yards before being sacked on fourth down due to the shortage of time. With that, the Chiefs knelt the ball, securing their win.
It’s quite striking that four different receivers from the Chiefs each found the end zone for a touchdown. Contributors included Hopkins, Worthy, Kelce, and Brown, demonstrating their team’s impressive depth at the receiver position. Despite Philadelphia having a strong secondary, the sheer talent of Kansas City’s receivers might have been overwhelming. Even without star WR Rashee Rice, the Chiefs still managed to secure a victory.
With their victory, the Chiefs have created history, marking them as the first team to secure three consecutive Super Bowl titles. On the other hand, the Eagles find themselves with a disappointing 1-4 record in the Super Bowl, having lost twice against Kansas City. However, given the exceptional talent these teams exhibit, it’s not unreasonable to imagine they could face each other again on this prestigious stage. For now, let’s savor the upcoming game scheduled for this coming Sunday.
