Chick-Fil-A launches chicken vending machine and even it’s closed on Sunday

Chick-fil-A is now trying out vending machines that let customers buy some of their favorite menu items even when the restaurants are closed.

According to PEOPLE, the company first put its automated system into use at Wellstar Medical Group Health Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia.

The vending machine is a refrigerated unit with a touchscreen, and it’s conveniently located near the Chick-fil-A.

Currently, you can find a few pre-made food options, like the Southwest Veggie Wrap with Creamy Salsa and the Cool Wrap with Avocado Lime Ranch. They also offer two kinds of Waffle Potato Chips.

Our hospital has the one and only Chick-fil-A vending machine in the US! It offers wraps and chips, and we keep it stocked with fresh items every 18 hours. Talk about a perk for our residents!

It’s also closed on Sunday

Although the new machine runs around the clock, the restaurant will continue its tradition of being closed on Sundays. Chick-fil-A explained that the machine uses technology to monitor how fresh food is and automatically alerts staff when items need to be replaced, ensuring customers are never served expired products.

This vending machine is currently being tested for a limited time. Chick-fil-A hasn’t said if they plan to add more machines at other restaurants.

Chick-fil-A isn’t alone in trying new ways to sell food. KFC recently launched a vending machine in Australia selling its Sweet Tokyo Hot & Crispy Chicken, but kept the location a secret.

Those who could find it, however, were rewarded with a free meal.
