Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk received a one-month ban from the FACEIT competitive gaming platform due to inappropriate behavior during a Counter-Strike match.
Mykhailo Mudryk received a suspension after a disagreement with Polish players during a Counter-Strike 2 match. Screenshots from the game show him sending messages like “U SO BAD,” “lucky volyn,” and “volyn next map.”
“Volyn” refers to the tragic killings of Poles in the Volhynia and Eastern Galicia regions during World War II, a very sensitive topic. FACEIT considered messages referencing this event a violation of their rules and banned the user for one month due to toxic behavior.
Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk was temporarily banned from the FACEIT gaming platform for one month after a heated exchange with Polish players. The argument involved Mudryk being told he was a poor player, and references to ‘Volyn,’ which is a sensitive term relating to historical massacres of Poles in the Volhynia and Eastern Galicia regions.

Mykhailo Mudryk is a Ukrainian professional soccer player who currently plays as a winger for both Chelsea and the Ukrainian national team. He transferred to Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023 and is recognized for his speed and skillful play.
He failed a drug test in December 2024 and is temporarily suspended from playing football while the situation is investigated.
As of now, Mykhailo Mudryk hasn’t spoken publicly about being banned from FACEIT. The ban only affects competitive matches on the FACEIT platform; he can still play CS2 on official Valve servers.
