My Arcade, known for its retro gaming devices, recently released two new miniature arcade cabinets: Sonic the Hedgehog and Pac-Man Mighty Players. These follow the previously released Sonic Joystick Player, but are noticeably larger – about a foot tall and 7 inches wide. They’re designed to be compact enough for a countertop while still providing a comfortable gaming experience. Each cabinet features a 3.5-inch screen and comes with four games pre-loaded. You can purchase them now on Amazon for $120 apiece.
My Arcade Mighty Players are smaller than Arcade1Up Countercades, which usually measure over a foot tall, and about 9 inches in length and width. Mighty Players are also more affordable than Countercades, which typically cost around $150. However, some Countercades are currently on sale for $130, making them a good value, especially with the holidays approaching. This includes the Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga and Pac-Man Countercade models.
One version features games like Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, and Dig Dug, while the other has Pac-Man, Super Pac-Man, and Pac-Mania. Both handhelds have a 7-inch screen – a significant upgrade from the smaller 3.5-inch screen found on the My Arcade devices – so it’s worth checking them out while they’re discounted.
