A producer for The Charlie Kirk Show says Charlie Kirk really enjoyed appearing on South Park, and believes the episode should continue to be broadcast because of that.
Right-wing activist Kirk was fatally shot earlier this month. Before that, the show South Park aired a comedic sketch about him, where the character Cartman dressed up as Kirk and pretended to debate college students.
Comedy Central pulled the episode (Season 27 Episode 2) from its schedule, and while it’s still not included with the other reruns on linear TV, it can be streamed on Paramount Plus. Episode 5 has also been postponed, with many fans believing the delay is to give the series more time after Kirk’s death.
Despite the parody, Kirk actually liked it, and a friend and colleague, Andrew Kolvet, believes the episode should be re-broadcast.
Charlie Kirk producer wants his South Park episode back on the air

Kolvet tweeted to Paramount Plus, noting that Charlie was happy to be included in an episode of South Park. The episode is currently available to stream on Paramount Plus, but it’s no longer shown on Comedy Central.
“He told me many times. He would want the episode back up.”
Kirk responded to the preview as soon as it appeared online, telling Fox News Digital he initially found it amusing.
It’s actually pretty cool and really demonstrates how much of an impact our movement is having on culture. I see it as something to be proud of.
Charlie Kirk is having fun with his appearance on South Park 👏😂

Kirk argued that conservatives should learn to laugh at themselves and not be overly serious.
Honestly, I get it. These are professional comedians, so they’re likely going to make fun of me a little, and I’m totally okay with that! It comes with the territory of being in the public eye and trying to do good things.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone announced that the next episode of South Park is delayed. They explained that working right up to the deadline sometimes means things don’t get finished on time.
We apologize for the delay. We weren’t able to finish on schedule. We really appreciate the patience of Comedy Central and South Park viewers. Don’t forget to watch next week!
