As a gamer with a soft spot for horror games and a deep appreciation for lore, I am beyond excited about CG5’s upcoming three-part analog horror short film. Having grown up immersed in the intricate worlds of games like Five Nights at Freddy’s and Poppy Playtime, I can’t wait to see what CG5 cooks up as his own IP. The use of 8mm tape gives it an authentic, student-film feel that I find endearing, and the blend of dark themes, special effects, and a dash of fear is just the right recipe for me.
The fact that Piper Rubio, who brought the characters of Five Nights at Freddy’s to life, is involved only adds to my anticipation. And let’s not forget the new music and music videos that will accompany this cinematic experience – I can already hear the eerie tunes resonating in my gaming room.
Now, if only CG5 could somehow incorporate a cameo of Sonic the Hedgehog from ‘Finding Maria,’ I’d be in heaven! (Or should I say Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza?)
Charlie Green, also known as CG5, is producing a chilling three-part analog horror short film alongside Piper Rubio, who starred in Five Nights at Freddy’s. The initial part of the series will be launched on New Year’s Day, with the subsequent two parts releasing over a span of three months afterward. This project will delve deeply into lore and represents Green’s inaugural horror intellectual property, as he revealed to Ginx.TV.
Green shared, “I understand that my audience is deeply passionate about stories, and that’s what defines them. They’re experts in narratives from games such as Poppy Playtime and Five Nights at Freddy’s. My goal is to develop an original intellectual property with its unique branding, a fresh narrative similar to the video games they enjoy. Perhaps game analysts will take notice of it too! The possibilities are endless, so I aim to make this an exceptional experience.

The upcoming movie is planned to be filmed entirely using 8mm tapes, giving it a distinctive, almost nostalgic feel akin to a student production, as detailed by Green. It will delve into ominous and eerie themes, combined with special effects, but won’t overdo the horror aspects.
He expressed his fondness for desolate dread and peculiar, unsettling things. He wants to incorporate these elements into his work while maintaining an atmosphere suitable for a younger audience, ensuring they are not overly frightened.
Alongside the movie, fresh tunes and music videos will be part of the package. Filming for this exciting project kicked off on December 18th, only a couple of days after CG5 unveiled his latest single inspired by Sonic 3, titled ‘Finding Maria.’ You can stream or watch ‘Finding Maria’ on all popular platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
