CDawgVA criticized some streamers who do in-person broadcasts, saying they were harassing people. This came after his friend, Ironmouse, was upset by an encounter with RaKai and RayAsianBoy at the Streamer Awards.
QTCinderella held her yearly Streamer Awards on December 7th. Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 won four awards, and IShowSpeed was named Streamer of the Year. Since the show, though, some controversy has emerged.
Popular VTuber Ironmouse was upset after a strange encounter with IRL streamers RayAsianBoy and RaKai at the show. She attended with a portable screen alongside CDawgVA and described the interaction as ‘uncomfortable’.
Both RaKai and Ray have apologized to Ironmouse for upsetting her, explaining they only intended to compliment her. Ray has also stated he will no longer communicate with her.
CDawgVA defends Ironmouse over Streamer Awards drama
CDawg has also come to the defense of a friend, criticizing IRL streamers for what he sees as harassment of people in public.
He explained on X (formerly Twitter) that IRL content is fantastic because it lets creators share their experiences and perspectives with the world, often exposing them to new cultures and allowing them to connect with real, genuine people.
These days, it often feels like people are going out in public with huge groups, shoving cameras in others’ faces, and using bright lights to bother them. Then, they share this footage with thousands of people online, turning everyday people just trying to live their lives into the target of jokes. I honestly believe things would be better if people stopped constantly livestreaming in public and harassing others for entertainment.
Thoughts on live streaming.

He also mentioned the situation with Ironmouse. He explained that she’s a streamer who’s comfortable being on camera, but even someone like her faced criticism when viewers expressed their discomfort with a past streamer who had mocked her and then directed their audience to harass others.
He expressed strong disapproval of being filmed, stating he hadn’t consented to being part of the interaction or given permission to be recorded. He felt someone simply approached him with a camera and forced him to react, which he found unacceptable.
The recent awards show has sparked debate within the VTubing community, and it’s not just about the awards themselves. Some VTubers disagree with TheBurntPeanut winning VTuber of the Year, but Ironmouse has publicly supported the decision.
