Virgil Watkins, design director for Arc Raiders, explained to PCGamesN that the player experience was one of the very first things the team discussed when starting work on the game’s interface. He said they quickly realized the biggest limitations would be time and the overall scope of the project.

In a recent interview with PC Gamer, Todd Kuhlmann expressed his long-standing affection for Bethesda while also mentioning some long-term issues that had been bothering him.

Despite losing players shortly after its release, FromSoftware finished 2025 on a high note with the launch of the first official expansion for Nightreign. Called The Forsaken Hollows, the expansion introduced two new playable characters, called Nightfarers, to Elden Ring Nightreign, and added new bosses within a dynamic environment known as The Great Hollow. While fans are unsure what 2026 holds for Nightreign, more content seems probable. However, the developers also recognized the need to improve existing characters and equipment alongside adding new features.

We originally planned for the civil war to be very reactive to player actions. The game would monitor if you killed Imperial soldiers, and based on that, we’d adjust the power balance in each region. If you weakened the Empire enough in a specific area through your actions, it would shift control towards the Stormcloaks, potentially leading them to launch an attack on the capital city.

Players first realized the game ran smoother when switching between accounts – one with all downloadable content (DLC) activated, and one without. According to de_Tylmarande, their mod doesn’t unlock the DLC itself; instead, it bypasses the game’s check for the DLC, avoiding a demanding process and resulting in a substantial increase in frame rate.
