The biggest news from Tokyo Game Show for Monster Hunter Wilds was the announcement of Title Update 4, bringing back the popular monster Gogmazios from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate in December. We also learned more about Title Update 3, which is heavily featuring MMO-style gameplay thanks to a collaboration with Final Fantasy 14. However, when thinking about what will likely generate the most revenue for Capcom, the third pack of cosmetic DLC seems like a safe bet.

Console players of Kingdom Come Deliverance will receive update 1.041, which fixes problems with how characters act, issues with quests, and other bugs.

The Deluxe Upgrade Pack features two new outfits – the Forged Iron and Radiant Costumes – plus the Hooked Blade Spear and Blazing Nightlotus weapons. We’re also planning to add two more outfits and two more weapons in updates coming in 2025. As a bonus, all players will get the Bo Sorcerer’s Crown and Ming Army Helmet for free.

I recently spoke with Nick Giacomini, the new game director for The Elder Scrolls Online, and Rich Lambert, who is now studio director, to talk about the game’s history, current state, and what’s coming next. Rich Lambert has a long history with the Elder Scrolls series, starting at Bethesda Game Studios in 2004 with Oblivion. He’s been involved with ESO for an incredible 18 years, counting from the very beginning of its development. He was actually the second person hired onto the ESO team, after Matt Firor, the former head of ZeniMax Online Studios who left following the cancellation of a different MMO the studio was working on.

The cancellation of a new online game, codenamed Blackbird, and subsequent layoffs significantly impacted Zenimax Online Studios, the company behind The Elder Scrolls Online. The situation was serious enough that Matt Firor, who had led the studio for 18 years, resigned as president, even though he wasn’t part of the first round of job cuts.

In a recent documentary about Morrowind by Filmdeg Miniatures, designer Ken Rolston revealed he had many ideas for the game that didn’t make it into the final version. He specifically mentioned the journal, which could have been much more extensive if one of his ambitious – but ultimately flawed – concepts had been developed.

According to combat director Qianli Ma, *Phantom Blade Zero* aims to combine the elegance of wuxia stories with the fast-paced action of kung fu. He told PCGamer (via GamesRadar) that the game’s combat is designed to feel fluid and engaging, almost like dancing.

Hidden in the hills and kept secret from the nearby town, Test Site Moriah is a research facility built by B.A.R.D. on the grounds of a former missile range. It’s always been mysterious, but things have gotten worse since a quarantine was put in place. Now, the facility is controlled by dangerous people, and a deadly virus is spreading from its underground labs and bunkers. However, a way back inside has been discovered, offering a chance to uncover the truth.
