For years, Southern Charm has focused on flawed men and the women who put up with them, and that hasn’t really changed. But the usual drama between Austen, Shep, and Craig is getting repetitive. Now, it’s the women who are bringing something new to the show. Sometimes their storylines revolve around the men, but often they don’t. Watching Molly, Salley, Venita, Madison, and Rodrigo (who surprisingly has a bigger influence on the relationships than the guys) try to cool off in Craig’s sweltering kitchen, I wondered if this was the show’s new focus. Could these women be the heart of Southern Charm going forward? I really hope so.

As the June 26th release of the Supergirl movie approaches, DC Studios has started showing it to test audiences. Although the trailer briefly featured Jason Momoa as Lobo, a recent report suggests he’s a significant supporting character, not the main villain.

NCIS has had a strong season, showing improvement after some weaker storylines in the past. While the show faced challenges adjusting after Mark Harmon left in Season 19, Season 23 has brought compelling new developments for both Alden Parker (Gary Cole), who took over as team leader, and Jessica Knight, with her intriguing new role within an elite NCIS unit.

Many established anime franchises are struggling to stay relevant as new, exciting shows gain popularity. Anime is constantly changing, and viewers are now more discerning, expecting strong character development and fresh storylines. While some older series were once incredibly popular, they’re being surpassed by newer anime that offer original ideas and push the boundaries of the industry.

Leonardo DiCaprio, known for his upcoming film One Battle After Another (releasing in 2025), recently offered advice to Jennifer Lawrence during a conversation for Variety’s Actors on Actors series. Lawrence starred in Die My Love earlier this year. The two actors previously collaborated on the Netflix film Don’t Look Up and are set to work together again on a new movie directed by Martin Scorsese, based on Peter Cameron’s novel What Happens at Night. As this will be Lawrence’s first time working with Scorsese, she asked DiCaprio for some insight into the director, and he responded:

As a huge animation fan, I’ve been loving the buzz around Disney’s latest! It’s about this amazing city filled with animals who all live together, and it’s become the biggest movie of the year. I just saw that Jared Bush, one of the creative minds behind the original Zootopia and now the writer and co-director of the sequel, went on X to express his gratitude to everyone who’s gone to see it. It’s awesome to see such a positive response!

The New York premiere of Marty Supreme felt perfectly New York. Held at Regal Times Square, the red carpet was packed with screaming fans, reminiscent of the TRL days. The afterparty at The National Arts Club continued the New York love, with Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani chatting with Fran Drescher. Over by the catering – a whole roasted pig with an orange in its mouth instead of an apple – the Shark Tank crew celebrated Kevin O’Leary. The orange was a playful nod to the film’s focus on branding and visual themes.

The trailer begins with Stewart playing a famous actor who decides he wants to join the military, but his celebrity status makes people hesitant. “Shouldn’t I have the same right to serve as anyone else?” he asks, speaking with a blend of American and his natural New Zealand accent. However, his unusual delivery—a sort of rushed, muffled speech where vowels sound bent—is more noticeable than the message itself. It’s difficult to concentrate on what he’s saying because how he’s saying it is so distracting.
