Over time, everyone starts to wonder about each other’s love lives. During a trip to the aquarium with Hayden and his kids (who we don’t see, likely to save money for things like body oil!), Hayden asks Shane about a past relationship and tries to fix him up with a friend of his wife. Even Shane’s parents attempt to set him up – with a Swedish princess, no less, a rare distraction from discussing his sponsorships. Ilya also faces questions from Svetlana about who he’s been texting – a mysterious “Jane” – and whether he’s dating. Despite all the matchmaking attempts, neither Ilya nor Shane seems interested in anyone other than each other.

I was just thinking about this funny meme while watching the latest episode of “Pluribus.” It ends with Carol finally giving in – after a long fight – with the Others. They’ve been avoiding her ever since that grenade went off and she kept pushing Zosia for answers about reversing the ‘joining’ process. Honestly, throughout the show, we’ve seen Carol really stand against the Others, trying to protect humanity – and especially her partner, Helen, since Helen’s mind is now part of the collective, and her body… well, it’s buried in the backyard. It hasn’t been easy for her. She’s pretty much refused all the easy comforts Diabaté accepted, and she’s even managed to push away the other people on Earth who didn’t get infected by the virus. It’s all taking a huge toll on her, that’s for sure.

The story quickly fills us in on the past through a combination of narration and dialogue. We learn details from a voiceover by Julian Simons (Matthew Maher), who wrote a magazine article about Tiff and her fellow supermodels—whom he called the Glamazons—and from a conversation between Tiff and Madison Fortune. Apparently, they were close friends and rivals back in 2000 when they appeared on the cover of Dress Up magazine. Their relationship, and Tiff’s career, took a turn when Tiff lost half her vision and her confidence in an unsolved attack, leaving us to wonder what could have been.

The episode “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” focused on the growing tension within the McAllister family as they struggled with Cee Cee’s increasingly challenging behavior. Georgie and Mandy moved in with Georgie’s mother, Mary, who enjoyed being the center of attention as a grandmother. This episode also gave Zoe Perry’s character a significant amount of screen time, continuing a trend from Season 2.

This week’s midseason finale, titled “Call It a Christmas Gift,” sees Julian making some risky new connections. A major explosion is about to happen, but we won’t see the fallout until next year. Honestly, I’m excited to see Julian shake things up with the Wellbrexa storyline, which has started to feel a bit predictable.

The wealthy women on the show mostly just wanted honesty. They were grateful to Kyle for finally acknowledging what they saw was real, admitting there was truth to the rumors, and even hinting at why she couldn’t discuss it openly. They felt they could figure out the details if given a basic framework, instead of being treated as if they were unreasonable for asking about her life. This frustration was evident in the first scene with Boz and Rachel, where Boz visited Rachel’s rental. Rachel immediately sensed Kyle’s unwillingness to discuss her dating life, and Boz agreed they shouldn’t even speculate. Later, Boz explained that Kyle needed to either fully deny the situation or acknowledge it, as they could never get a straight answer.
