A Lot Of Focus Has Been On The Epic Universe Coaster Death, But Another Ride Led To ‘Electrical Shock’ And A $12K Fine

I just read a really concerning report about an accident at Universal’s new Epic Universe park. Apparently, someone working on the Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry ride was seriously injured by a high-voltage electrical component – a 480-volt busbar, to be exact. They got a bad shock and suffered some really awful injuries, including broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder. This happened back on April 24th, so before the official opening on May 22nd, but after they’d already started letting people in for previews. It’s definitely worrying to hear about something like this happening before the park fully opens.

The Avatar Whales Are Back and Now They Have Clothes

You might think you’ve seen animals dressed up before, but you’ve probably never seen anything like this! These creatures are incredibly fictional and absolutely massive, sporting things like huge gold earrings and long, flowing cloaks. It might even hinder their swimming, but they look amazing anyway. According to the official Avatar Wiki, Tulkuns are the largest creatures on Pandora – three times bigger than the largest blue whales. So when you see one with an earring, picture an earring the size of a car!

Kumail Nanjiani Strikes Back

It’s tricky when comedians talk about being famous. They have to avoid sounding like they’re just complaining about minor inconveniences, and they need to make sure people can still connect with them. Plus, lately it feels like being truly honest can be risky and even cost you opportunities. There’s also this fear that if you’ve been away from the stage for a while, people will think you’ve lost your edge or that your jokes are outdated. But that’s what makes Nanjiani’s new special, Night Thoughts, so exciting! He really leans into where he is in his career right now, and his show isn’t just about his own experiences – it’s about what’s been happening in the world and how we’ve all been affected.

I Cannot Get Over The Gorgeous Yellow Dress Ariana Grande Wore For SNL That Pays Homage To Carol Burnett

After NBC shared a new promo for Grande’s episode of SNL, the “yes, and?” singer took to Instagram to show off her look, which was a yellow, brown, and orange dress that looked incredible on her. However, it didn’t just look incredible, it actually paid homage to comedy legend, Carol Burnett, which Grande made sure to highlight in her post. I’m truly obsessulated, and you will be too after you see this fit:

REVIEW: “Avatar: Fire and Ash” (2025)

Following the huge success of “Avatar” in 2009, creator James Cameron spent thirteen years developing and releasing its sequel, “The Way of Water.” Surprisingly – and I admit I was one of those surprised – the second film also performed exceptionally well at the box office, earning over $2.3 billion worldwide. Beyond its financial success, it was a stunning cinematic achievement that broadened the world of Avatar and even improved the original film’s somewhat uneven story.

Heated Rivalry’s Elder Statesman

Both on screen and in real life, Arnaud is the most experienced member of the cast at 40 years old, playing a contrasting role to the younger leads who are in their early twenties. He’s a familiar face, having appeared in many shows like Schitt’s Creek, Yellowjackets, and unReal, and had starring roles in The Borgias on Showtime and The Moodys on Fox. What sets Arnaud apart is his ability to play both straight and LGBTQ+ characters, which is unusual in an industry that often typescasts actors. While he’s consistently worked, Heated Rivalry represents his biggest opportunity yet – it’s the first time he’s been the central focus of such a popular show.

Brini and Th Won Late Night This Week

Stephen Colbert recently interviewed Kumail Nanjiani about the ending of his stand-up special, Night Thoughts, which was named the best of 2025 by Vulture. Nanjiani described how he ended the show by telling the audience, “Things are tough, but you’re going to be okay,” and then had them repeat the phrase back to him. Colbert explained that this moment encapsulates the best of late-night talk shows – acknowledging difficult truths while still offering a sense of hope and reassurance. He compared it to the optimistic spirit found in the work of Alexander Pope, and highlighted other late-night hosts who offered similar messages of hope this week.
