Here’s a list of movies leaving Netflix in January 2026, so you can watch them before they’re gone.

The fifth and final season of Stranger Things has received some of its lowest ratings on IMDb. Netflix surprised fans by announcing the season would be released in three parts. The first set of episodes came out in late November, the second on Christmas Day, and the final episodes will premiere on December 31st.

The classic comedy Trading Places tells the story of a wealthy snob, Louis Winthorpe III (Dan Aykroyd), and a street hustler, Billy Ray Valentine (Eddie Murphy), who unexpectedly switch lives. Over forty years after its release, the film is currently a huge hit on streaming services, ranking among the top 10 most-watched movies worldwide, according to data from FlixPatrol.

Chalfant said it was a huge honor to be included among such a talented group, especially alongside Judy Dench, whom he considers a standout performer. When asked which of Dench’s roles he liked best, he responded with a simple, “Every single one.”

Created by Vince Gilligan, the mind behind Breaking Bad, Pluribus was shrouded in mystery before its release on Apple TV+. It quickly became clear the show centers around a virus that makes most of humanity share a single consciousness, with a few people remaining unaffected. Despite the initial secrecy, Pluribus‘ clever marketing has successfully captured the audience’s attention and drawn them into its science fiction setting.

The first season of Pluribus ended with several shocking twists. The Others found a way to potentially compel Carol (Rhea Seehorn) to work with them, and Carol unexpectedly teamed up with Manousos, a partnership that could be risky. The season finale left viewers eager to find out what happens next.

Science fiction anime covers a lot of ground, from time travel adventures like Steins;Gate to unsettling stories about seemingly perfect worlds with dark secrets, like From the New World. What often makes the best sci-fi anime truly stand out is their ability to deliver genuinely surprising twists and turns.

Just thinking about the 2026 TV lineup without new seasons of Stranger Things is giving me a headache. (Although, we will get the animated spinoff, Tales from ‘85.) But first, we have to get through the final season, which promises to resolve all the major storylines—like the origins of the Upside Down, Vecna’s plan for Dimension X, and, hopefully, the mystery of what was inside that soldier’s case that kept Henry away from the cave for so long.

Great JRPGs are plentiful, but a few truly stand out as must-play masterpieces. These three games remain the best examples of the genre, and continue to be benchmarks for quality that many others try to meet.

Tyler Perry, known as one of Hollywood’s top earners, is now facing a sexual assault lawsuit. Actor Mario Rodriguez alleges Perry made unwanted sexual advances on multiple occasions, including an incident in 2018 where Perry allegedly hugged him tightly and inappropriately touched him. The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and stems from their work on Perry’s 2016 film, Boo! A Madea Halloween.
