While publicizing the final season of Netflix’s hit show, Stranger Things, director Shawn Levy spoke on The Business podcast. He explained the surprising decision to release the final episodes in theaters, despite Netflix’s focus on streaming. Levy also shared details about his upcoming Star Wars film, Starfighter, calling the project creatively freeing. He said Disney and Lucasfilm encouraged him to create something fresh with the film, which stars Ryan Gosling.

WWE star Becky Lynch, known as “The Man,” is joining the 32nd-century world of Star Trek. Collider recently revealed a first look at her character, sporting a bob haircut and a yellow uniform. Lynch will be part of the ship’s bridge crew. Although she isn’t a lifelong Star Trek fan, she did mention that she always enjoyed watching one actor from Ireland who appeared on the show.

The highly anticipated sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux, featuring Joaquin Phoenix returning as the Joker alongside Lady Gaga, will be available to stream on Prime Video starting December 16, 2025. This adds another major title to Prime Video’s growing collection of content.

The film Unforgiven follows an aging outlaw who’s trying to escape his history of violence and proved to be a turning point in Clint Eastwood’s career. It went on to win Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director (Eastwood), and Best Supporting Actor (Gene Hackman). What truly makes Unforgiven exceptional is its thoughtful pace, brilliant writing, and unforgettable performances. The film is captivating because it realistically portrays the harshness of the Old West, challenging the often-glamorized image of gunslingers – making it just as compelling now as it was upon its initial release.

This isn’t about wanting H.E.R.B.I.E. to become as popular as characters like Grogu or Baby Groot. It’s a warning to future Marvel films about how they present trailers and clips. Revealing too much footage, especially key plot points, can actually hurt a movie by spoiling the story and its rhythm.

The Duffer Brothers (Matt and Ross) recently told The Hollywood Reporter that if you’re short on time and want to get ready for the first part of Season 5, these four episodes are the most important to watch to understand what’s coming up.

As a huge fan of the Assassin’s Creed games, I’m really excited about the Netflix adaptation! We haven’t had a full cast announcement yet, but Deadline is reporting that Toby Wallace – you might recognize him from the upcoming season of Euphoria – has landed one of the lead roles. They’re keeping his character a secret for now, which is intriguing! It’s great to see they’re actively casting, and I’m hoping we’ll get more news about the rest of the cast very soon. Just before the premiere of the first part of the final season of Stranger Things, creators Matt and Ross Duffer spoke with The Hollywood Reporter. These first four episodes, known as Volume I, will be available on November 26, 2025.

Directed by Michael Fimognari, who also made the Netflix film To All the Boys: Always and Forever (2021), Jingle Bell Heist is a romantic comedy co-written by Abby McDonald and Amy Reed of Bridgerton. The film features a couple who are a bit like Bonnie and Clyde, and tells a story of redemption where the romance develops in a relaxed and believable way.
