The highly anticipated sequel, Zootopia 2, is now in theaters! Judy and Nick are joined by a new character – a snake voiced by Ke Huy Quan. Jared Bush and Byron Howard directed the film, and Jared Bush, Jennifer Lee, and Yvette Merino produced it.

This year, Macaulay Culkin has been touring with his “A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin” show, where he talks to fans about the classic film Home Alone. Hamnet isn’t a remake of Shakespeare’s famous play, but a story about the playwright (played by Paul Mescal) and his wife, Agnes (Jessie Buckley), a woman with a mystical and unconventional spirit. They have three children, and Agnes has a premonition that one of them won’t survive. When their son, Hamnet, dies, it deeply impacts their marriage. William leaves for London to focus on his plays, while Agnes struggles to care for their remaining daughters. Later, Agnes and her brother, Bartholemew, travel to London and see a performance of Hamlet for the first time. The play deeply unsettles Agnes, as she recognizes echoes of her own life within the story, making the experience both captivating and disturbing. It’s as if her private grief and experiences are being played out on stage.

Now that Zootopia 2 is in theaters, Disney hasn’t said when it will be available to stream on Disney+. Disney typically waits before adding new movies to Disney+ to encourage people to see them in cinemas. They learned that releasing films on streaming too soon after their theatrical release can lower box office earnings, as happened with several movies in 2021 and 2022. While there’s no official date yet, based on how long it usually takes for Disney animated films to arrive on Disney+, we can estimate Zootopia 2 will likely be available for streaming around the holidays.

As fans eagerly await the new Harry Potter TV series, Daniel Radcliffe is currently promoting a filmed version of his Broadway musical, Merrily We Roll Along. He recently appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers where he discussed the constant Harry Potter jokes he’s heard throughout his career, explaining that:

While publicizing the final season of Netflix’s hit show, Stranger Things, director Shawn Levy spoke on The Business podcast. He explained the surprising decision to release the final episodes in theaters, despite Netflix’s focus on streaming. Levy also shared details about his upcoming Star Wars film, Starfighter, calling the project creatively freeing. He said Disney and Lucasfilm encouraged him to create something fresh with the film, which stars Ryan Gosling.

WWE star Becky Lynch, known as “The Man,” is joining the 32nd-century world of Star Trek. Collider recently revealed a first look at her character, sporting a bob haircut and a yellow uniform. Lynch will be part of the ship’s bridge crew. Although she isn’t a lifelong Star Trek fan, she did mention that she always enjoyed watching one actor from Ireland who appeared on the show.

The highly anticipated sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux, featuring Joaquin Phoenix returning as the Joker alongside Lady Gaga, will be available to stream on Prime Video starting December 16, 2025. This adds another major title to Prime Video’s growing collection of content.
