Emily feels Shane does about 60% of the housework, while he believes it’s closer to 70%. The show suggests Emily is avoiding her responsibilities as a stay-at-home mom by being on television. Shane complains he’s spending most of his time on household tasks, but viewers know he hasn’t always been a practicing attorney. Emily is also dealing with her daughter Annabelle, who seems to have inherited her mother’s strong personality and is understandably unhappy about being filmed for the show.

It’s disappointing when people don’t give a show a real chance, especially since many series are actually quite good despite what critics say. Almost every anime has some imperfections, and some of the most criticized shows are better than people realize.

Ever since her character seemingly died in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, fans have been eager to see Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch, return. Elizabeth Olsen has often said she’d be open to playing the role again if the opportunity arose, but hasn’t confirmed any discussions with Marvel Studios. Recently, she mentioned a specific team-up she’d love to see happen within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it’s only increased fans’ hopes for the Scarlet Witch’s comeback.

Variety reports that Paramount has created a list of actors they won’t hire due to concerns about antisemitism, xenophobia, or homophobia. The company has determined these individuals have demonstrated problematic views.

Last season on NCIS: Origins, we were introduced to Mason Franks, the older brother of Mike Franks, in an episode featuring flashbacks to their time serving in the Vietnam War. Tonight’s episode, “No Man Left Behind,” finally showed us Philip Winchester as the older Mason, a character who was hinted at in the Season 1 finale. While it was great to learn the reason behind the strained relationship between the two brothers, there were two particularly surprising reveals in this episode that I want to discuss.

Disney+ has launched a dedicated “Star Wars Animation” channel within its Streams section for U.S. subscribers. This is a first for the platform – a Streams channel entirely devoted to animated Star Wars content. However, access to this channel is currently limited to Disney+ Premium members.

Fans of Quentin Tarantino immediately recognized the scene as strikingly similar to the iconic 20-minute opening of Inglourious Basterds. Just like that film, Christoph Waltz’s character calmly and methodically confronts someone hiding a secret, with Léa Seydoux watching in fear at the same table. While Spectre as a whole didn’t resonate with everyone, this scene is memorable because it feels distinctly “Tarantino-esque.” It creates a compelling connection between the two films, using familiar actors in a new situation, and its impact relies heavily on the masterful performance Waltz established years ago.

When Landman premiered on Paramount+ in November 2024, critics generally liked it, though it took viewers a little while to get into. While the first season wasn’t perfect, it showed promise and could become one of the top modern Western shows on TV.

The show could have been enjoyable if it embraced its over-the-top nature and everyone committed to a clear vision. Instead, it feels confused – the acting is inconsistent, as if the performers are trying out different interpretations of the show, and the storylines are weak. Cases that should take considerable time are resolved incredibly quickly – faster than it takes for nail polish to dry, in one instance. One plot involves a wife falling for the woman her husband hires for a threesome, only for her to receive a massive $210 million settlement moments later thanks to incriminating video evidence. (The details are shockingly explicit, and frankly, a reason to skip the show.)
