The third season of Tulsa King wrapped up with another seemingly positive outcome for Dwight and his crew, but it differed significantly from the endings of the previous two seasons. While there were minor variations, such as the betrayal of Russell Lee Washington Jr. and Cole Dunmire, one particular change could have major consequences for what happens in season four.
Honestly, it’s just delightful to be having this conversation about such a small, intimate film. Train Dreams wasn’t a Netflix production, they acquired it after its Sundance debut, and I’ll admit, many of us feared it would get swallowed up by their endless stream of content. I truly believe this is a movie best seen on the big screen – I was lucky enough to catch it twice that way. Netflix did give it a limited theatrical release, which is more than some of their other, even good, films get. It’s still playing in a few cities like New York and Los Angeles through Thanksgiving. But what Netflix does exceptionally well is get a film in front of a massive audience, and, as we’re seeing now, even spark a genuine buzz around it – even if that buzz is fleeting, lasting just a week or two.

While the release date is currently unknown, the recent success of video game adaptations suggests this series has a strong chance of being popular.

I’m really excited about this – Green always brings such a wonderfully dark and captivating energy to her roles, and she clearly has a great working relationship with Burton. Before that, though, you can catch her in a couple of thrillers – Blood on Snow and Just Play Dead – but I’m already counting down the days to see what she brings to the Addams family universe!
Noah Hawley, the creator of Alien: Earth, recently signed a bigger deal with FX, which means the show has a promising future. And there’s even more good news for fans: besides the continuing story of Wendy and the Xenomorphs, they now have another exciting adaptation to anticipate. Fans of Earth can look forward to a new take on a popular fictional series.
This week on the show, Allura switches roles and becomes the client, with her mediation with Chase taking center stage. Chase and his team, Carrington and new partner Alberta Dome (a wonderfully fitting name!), attempt some last-minute grooming and flattery before the mediation begins. Chase starts by reflecting on their relationship, which immediately overwhelms Allura, forcing her to leave the room. We then see her in the bathroom, visibly upset with tears streaming down her face – makeup expertly applied, reminiscent of Kim Kardashian’s routine. However, her distress seems to stem from more than just issues with Chase. She confides in Dina that she just started her period, meaning the embryo transfer was unsuccessful. Dina is shocked to learn that Allura illegally had the embryos implanted and insists they keep it a secret from Carrington, hoping a potential pregnancy won’t give them away.
Back in 2020, Ubisoft, the company behind the popular Assassin’s Creed games, began discussions with Netflix about adapting the games into a show. After a slow start, the project was officially confirmed this summer with the announcement of its creators and showrunners. Now, according to reports, Netflix’s live-action Assassin’s Creed series has cast Toby Wallace as its first actor.
