Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour isn’t her first concert film – she’s made a few over the years. Before this one, she filmed the Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018, which accompanied her fifth tour and promoted her sixth album, Reputation. However, it’s quite difficult to find a copy of that earlier film.
Here I am reviewing another Taylor Sheridan series, but unlike some of his others, this one hasn’t bored me yet. It definitely has flaws, which I’ll discuss, but the setting in the oil industry is compelling and brings a much-needed energy that was lacking in the later seasons of Yellowstone. Billy Bob Thornton is fantastic as Tommy Norris – it’s clear the role was created with him in mind, and he’s captivating to watch, even when his character delivers over-the-top speeches that feel like they were written by Sheridan himself.
For some time now, Ian has been deceiving Mike, putting on a friendly and supportive act while secretly making shady deals and eliminating anyone who gets in his way. This week, he’s at it again, causing a car accident for the inquisitive ADA, Evelyn Foley. Despite this, Mike continues to trust Ian. However, Ian surprisingly appears genuinely bothered when he learns about Bunny’s new business partner.
Prime Video has released the first episode of The Mighty Nein on YouTube, giving fans a sneak peek at the new series. The story centers around a mysterious and powerful object called The Beacon, which falls into the hands of a group of unlikely criminals and misfits. They’ll need to learn to cooperate if they want to save their world from total destruction.
The upcoming 3.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is shaping up to be substantial, and that’s even before considering potential enhancements for the next Switch console. With features like the hotel, hundreds of new items, and the slumber islands all included in this free update, many players suspect it’s a way to satisfy fans who have been eagerly awaiting a new Animal Crossing game. However, I believe this update can be a positive step forward on its own.
Who’s joining Dolores in Rhode Island? The trailer introduced a lot of new faces. We’ve got Liz McGraw, known as the “Cannabis Queen” of Rhode Island and apparently in charge of everything there. She jokingly warns, “I’m scary, boo!” We also meet Jo-Ellen Tiberi, who’s the group’s investigator – she’s said to be as skilled as Kristen Doute. Alicia Carmody has a genuine Rhode Island accent, which might sound familiar to fans of Family Guy. And then there’s Ashley Iaconetti, a familiar face from Bachelor Nation, who seems to cry a lot on the show.
Come on, Lorne, that’s not right! People liked him in shows like Set It Up, Scream Queens, and Everybody Wants Some well before 2021. Still, I get your point. I’m a fan of Powell, so it’s great to see him on the show. He fit right in and this episode is one of the best this season! He’s a solid supporting actor, happy to play smaller roles and play off other cast members – like in the sketch with Sebastian Maniscalco where he and Marcello Hernandez got to show off their physical comedy skills, or with Ashley Padilla’s funny scene.
When The Dark Tower adaptation was first announced, it was ahead of its time with plans for a connected universe of movies and TV shows. Ron Howard led the effort to bring Roland of Gilead’s story to life across different platforms. However, studio executives thought the idea was too bold, and they doubted audiences would follow the narrative from the big screen to television.
Saturday Night Live also featured content related to Jeffrey Epstein. The show’s cold open depicted Donald Trump, played by James Austin Johnson, and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, played by Ashley Padilla, answering questions about the recently released Epstein emails. These emails, which mention Trump multiple times, were made public on Wednesday, and some felt it was inconsiderate of Congress to release them so late in the day.
Tyrion’s speech aimed to analyze the core themes of Game of Thrones, particularly how wealth and power inevitably lead to corruption, while also arguing that stories themselves are ultimately the most enduring and truthful things. He believed Brandon Stark, with his dramatic journey from a fall to becoming the all-knowing Three-Eyed Raven, possessed the strongest story and would therefore be the best ruler to restore the kingdom. While the idea that someone who doesn’t crave power is best suited to build a better world was a strong point, the final episode didn’t effectively demonstrate this idea.
