The actor renowned for roles in “Star Trek” and “Don’t Worry Darling” will headline “Nowhere Fast,” a Texas-set crime thriller. This gripping tale revolves around a small-town criminal who unintentionally ends up killing his boss’s nephew. The screenplay and direction are in the hands of Noah Hawley, famed for creating “Fargo” and “Legion” on FX, as well as the upcoming sci-fi film “Alien: Earth.” Hawley’s Austin-based production company, 26 Keys Productions, is overseeing the project.

Blue Moon” is the first film collaboration between Hawke and Linklater in more than a decade, since they worked together on “Boyhood” in 2014. Over the span of their careers, they have teamed up for nine films, which also include the “Before” trilogy, “The Newton Boys,” and “Fast Food Nation.

Back in April 2024, it was initially announced that “Murray Hill” was being developed for Hulu. The project found its home at Hulu amidst fierce competition, securing a commitment to produce the series directly from a written script.

As a passionate cinephile, I found myself standing side by side with director Dylan Southern, Richard Boxall, and Henry Boxall (the trio pictured above), who brought my on-screen sons to life in “The Thing With Feathers.” This highly anticipated film, produced under my company SunnyMarch, had its world premiere at Sundance and will make its European debut at Berlin tonight. I can hardly contain my excitement!

However, the desire to perform is resurfacing in her, especially following her recent viewing of “Never Have I Ever” alongside her young relatives. DNEG Group, a privately-owned corporation, oversees several subsidiaries. Among them are DNEG, a VFX powerhouse recognized with a BAFTA award recently and nominated for an Oscar in VFX for “Dune: Part Two”; Prime Focus, creators of the Clear asset management system; and Ziva, a company specializing in 3D character development, which DNEG acquired last year.

In ‘Dangerous Animals’, we meet Zephyr (Harrison), a rule-breaking surfer who finds himself in peril at the hands of a shark-fixated murderer named Courtney. The storyline reveals that Zephyr is held captive on Courtney’s boat, with the looming threat that he may become part of a ritualistic shark feeding.

Much like the films that served as its inspiration, “Jade” isn’t without its flaws. The narrative is rather shallow, some characters lack depth, and occasionally, the movie seems to meander in search of the next major action sequence. However, viewers who appreciate the style of pulpy throwback subgenres will relish the consistent serving of stylish split-screens, excessive slow motion, entertaining Mexican standoffs, and breathtaking gun fu action.

The opening acts for “Jesus Christ Superstar” at the Hollywood Bowl will commence on August 1st and continue until the 3rd. Further cast details will be shared at a later time. Notably, Tony Award winner Sergio Trujillo is taking on the roles of director and choreographer, while Tony winner Stephen Oremus has been appointed as musical director and conductor for this production.
