Leroy Jethro Gibbs experienced a lot of heartbreak in his personal life throughout NCIS, including the loss of his wife and daughter, and several divorces. The new prequel series, NCIS: Origins, introduces Gibbs’ second wife, Diane Sterling (played by Kathleen Kenny). In the show, a romance between the younger Gibbs (Austin Stowell) and Lala Dominguez (Mariel Molino) is cut short, which led to the need for a recent plot development involving Mary Jo.

The new movie, Avengers: Doomsday, coming to theaters December 18th, will include seven characters who previously appeared as sidekicks in other Marvel Cinematic Universe films and shows. The Duffer Brothers really delivered with the latest episode, and it’s a great reason to revisit what many consider the best horror series on Netflix. With so many horror shows available today, it’s rare for one to truly capture attention, but this one does.

Several great science fiction shows have had comparable lifespans, like Firefly. The Expanse was another success story, running for six seasons and allowing its creators to fully develop the characters and create a detailed world. Paper Girls didn’t get the recognition it deserved, but it remains a strong and enjoyable show even years later.
