Joe (Scott Eastwood) and Laura (Willa Fitzgerald), being top-tier agents for their respective nations, crossed paths when Laura was tasked to eliminate him. However, instead of completing her assignment, she developed feelings for him and they began a relationship. Choosing to disappear from the limelight, they got married and embarked on a clandestine life together. As fans of spy films are well aware, it’s not that simple to abandon such a line of work.
If this multi-camera series progresses, it will delve into the lives of characters Marty and Malcolm Butler, as they embark on a new journey leaving their parents’ home behind and moving from Pasadena to Venice Beach. At present, the show is being considered for the 2025-2026 television season, but it has not yet been officially commissioned.
The movie, titled “Evangelion” (directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki), will hit theaters on the 28th of February. Yoji Enokido, who previously worked on “Revolutionary Girl Utena,” is the film’s scriptwriter, and Hideaki Anno lends a hand with the screenplay as well.

Initially, it was announced in November that CBS was considering a spin-off from the Queen Latifah-led remake of the 1980s action crime drama. Now, Welliver and Feliz are set to appear in episode 16 of the current fifth season. If the spin-off proceeds, they could be offered regular roles.
Netflix informs EbMaster that viewership for Perry’s four other Netflix films (including “Mea Culpa” from 2024, “A Jazzman’s Blues” and “A Madea Homecoming” both from 2022, as well as “A Fall from Grace” from 2020) has seen a significant rise of over 45% since the release of “The Six Triple Eight,” which started streaming on Dec. 20. Additionally, this film ranked among the Top 10 in over 85 countries, making it the most successful for Perry in terms of global reach on Netflix’s platform.
