Jack Bauer, known for his on-screen legal troubles, is facing legal issues again after more than ten years, according to USA Today. Kiefer Sutherland, the actor who plays Bauer, previously served two months in jail in 2007 for driving under the influence, an offense he’d committed several times since 1989. In 2009, he was accused of hitting a designer, but the charges were dropped. There was also an incident in 2005 or 2006 where he was caught on camera knocking over a Christmas tree in a London hotel lobby. He later jokingly explained to Jonathan Ross that the tree was a fire hazard and he was simply addressing the issue.

Taylor Swift consistently draws attention, whether it’s in her acting roles like One Battle or at public events. She has a knack for becoming the center of attention – even when others are being honored. At the Critics Choice Awards, she enthusiastically celebrated Paul Thomas Anderson’s win, acting like a jubilant coach. The new film, Wife and Dog, will hit theaters on October 23rd. Directed and written by Ritchie, the movie follows a ruthless fight for power within the wealthy and corrupt Fairbank family, filled with backstabbing and ultimately, murder.

While stories like The Lord of the Rings focus on grand, overarching conflicts with powerful magical forces, Game of Thrones was more grounded in political struggles and civil wars. The show’s villains weren’t necessarily powerful entities themselves, but rather symbols of evil. Despite its differences, Game of Thrones actually stumbled in a similar way to Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings adaptation.

Premiering on January 14, 2026, the series Colony follows the Bowman family as they struggle to survive an alien invasion of Los Angeles. When Will Bowman (Josh Holloway) becomes separated from his son, he starts working with the aliens to protect his family. Many see Colony as a powerful story mirroring the German occupation of France during World War II, and its themes feel even more relevant today.

The Dexter franchise spans eleven seasons total. This includes the original 8-season series, two follow-up series, and a prequel called Dexter: Original Sin. Although Dexter: Original Sin was unexpectedly cancelled by Paramount last year despite being renewed for a second season, the standout series of 2025 was the impressive 10-episode Dexter: Resurrection.

Despite how wild the movie already is, director Josh Safdie shared on the A24 podcast that they considered an even more surprising ending. In this alternate version, Kevin O’Leary’s character would have been revealed as a vampire, attacking an elderly Marty. The scene would then fast-forward through the rest of Marty’s life, culminating in a 1980s Tears for Fears concert where “Mr. Wonderful” unexpectedly appears while Marty is with his granddaughter.

The park announced it was closing on its social media pages just one day before the actual closure. The announcement explained that the team needed a bit more time to finish some final details and handle necessary operational tasks.

The strongest on-screen friendships feel like a natural blending of personalities, where the characters subtly influence each other over time. The series Ponies perfectly captures this dynamic. Clarke plays Beatrice as reserved and proper, while Richardson’s Twila is wild and outgoing, and their chemistry creates a relationship reminiscent of classic feminist comedies like Dick, Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, The Heat, and Spy. (This kind of pairing is familiar territory for co-creator Susanna Fogel, who also wrote Booksmart and The Spy Who Dumped Me.) Even though the plot of Ponies gets incredibly convoluted – I’ve watched the finale three times and still don’t fully understand all the twists and betrayals – Clarke and Richardson’s connection is undeniable and makes the show work.
