The story takes us back to the isolated, wooded town of Venus, Oregon. Three years before the main events, a woman named Hannah Galway makes the mistake of staying at the local inn. There, she’s subjected to a needlessly graphic and ultimately pointless torture scene involving a character named Dollface. Director Renny Harlin pads out the 90-minute movie with an unnecessary murder before returning to the core storyline.

I was so excited when Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe first teamed up for Gladiator! It was an amazing movie and totally deserved all the awards, especially Best Picture and Best Actor for Russell – he was incredible as Maximus. And it wasn’t just a one-time thing! They kept working together throughout the 2000s, making four more films together, like Body of Lies and American Gangster. It’s awesome to see such a strong creative partnership.
