It’s surprising to see Brendan Carr backtrack on his comments about Jimmy Kimmel, especially since he was heavily criticizing Kimmel just last week. He initially called Kimmel’s remark about Kirk’s attacker “incredibly disturbing” during an interview. It seems he may have faced some internal consequences for those strong words, or perhaps he’s simply realized that comments made on podcasts have a lasting impact. Instead of admitting any misstep, Carr used a recent speech to claim that Democrats misinterpreted his role at the FCC. He stated that the FCC never threatened Disney or ABC over Kimmel’s employment, a claim made despite widespread criticism from both sides of the political spectrum – even Senator Ted Cruz compared Carr to a “mob boss” on his own podcast. It’s clear these individuals have too many platforms to voice their opinions. Ultimately, the only voice that truly matters in this situation is Jimmy Kimmel’s.

As a big fan of late-night shows, this whole situation with *Jimmy Kimmel Live!* is a bit of a pain. Basically, about 60 local ABC stations, owned by Nexstar and Sinclair, aren’t showing the show right now. But thankfully, that only affects around 25% of viewers nationwide. If you subscribe to Hulu, Fubo, or YouTube TV, you won’t be able to watch it live in those areas, which is annoying. However, if you live in a Nexstar or Sinclair market and still want to see *Kimmel*, you can always catch the full episode on Hulu the next day – as long as you haven’t canceled your subscription! And hey, if you’re really trying to save money, there are always clips floating around on YouTube.

Beginning October 21st, Disney+ will cost more. The ad-supported plan will increase from $9.99 to $11.99 monthly, and the ad-free plan will go up by $3, from $15.99 to $18.99 per month.

Details about *Avengers: Doomsday* are scarce, and even less is known about *Secret Wars*. Because the multiverse is now part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, almost anything is possible. I always loved seeing her on *Girl Meets World*, which was a continuation of the classic *Boy Meets World*. Spider-Man 4, sometimes called Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is now being made by Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures. Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is directing the film, and Tom Holland will return as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. It’s scheduled to come out in July 2026.
