So, in episode 2 of Marvel Zombies, our group of surviving heroes finally reaches what they believe is a safe haven – the City on the Sea. Turns out, it’s actually the Raft! You might remember the Raft from other Marvel stories – it used to be a super-max prison, holding the MCU’s most dangerous villains. But now, in this zombie apocalypse, it’s been turned into a refuge for survivors, using the surrounding water as a (somewhat shaky) defense against the undead. It’s a clever repurposing, but as you can imagine, nothing is ever truly safe in a zombie story!

While promoting his new movie, Good Fortune, Keanu Reeves shared some hopeful news with Fandango about Constantine 2. He said, “Fingers crossed. Another draft of the script came in. We’re gonna take it to the studio and hopefully they like it too.” It appears that James Gunn and Peter Safran, the co-CEOs of DC Studios, will be reviewing the script soon, which could lead to the film being approved for production. However, with DC Studios now focusing on the DCU after the success of Superman, it’s uncertain if a separate project like Constantine will move forward quickly. Despite this, it would be difficult to ignore the opportunity to bring back director Francis Lawrence (The Long Walk) and Reeves for another supernatural story.

Trier creates a compelling and emotionally resonant depiction of a family struggling across different eras, exploring their complex history through the lens of a family home that’s been passed down for generations. This house holds a tragic past – a matriarch died by suicide there – and serves as the setting for Gustav’s new film in the present day. This film is deeply personal for Trier, written soon after he became a father, and he shares that he wanted to confront his own anxieties about potentially failing as a parent. I spoke with him right before the Sentimental Value premiere at NYFF to discuss whether, as his character Gustav asks, it’s possible to “write Ulysses while driving to soccer practice.”

For the entire first portion of the reunion show, Julia Lemigova sat on the curved couch – which resembled the Love Island firepit more than a typical reunion set – and appeared bracing for a major impact. Julia had a difficult season, frustrating viewers with her treatment of Guerdy Abraira (along with the rest of the cast) and due to comments made by her wife, tennis legend Martina Navratilova, when cameras weren’t rolling. She also clashed with her longtime friend Adriana de Moura, and most viewers sided with Adriana. The reunion trailer hinted at Julia making a shocking statement that caused Adriana to walk off set, but as the episode neared its end, it looked like Julia wouldn’t get a chance to speak. This seemed even more likely when Andy gave Adriana time to explain what caused their friendship to fall apart. (Adriana, as expected, blamed Marysol Patton – but she also blames Marysol for her bunions, parking tickets, global warming, and even the cancellation of her favorite lip balm!) However, in the last few seconds of the show, Julia interjected, saying, “I want to share something that will hopefully explain where Adriana and I stand.” She then revealed, “Adriana and I slept together in the Hamptons.” The reaction in the room was immediate and dramatic – it truly felt like a bombshell had been dropped.

Lover Hurts came out just before Valentine’s Day and was promoted as a funny action-romance. But, the story-about a hitman trying to start a new life as a real estate agent while keeping his dangerous past secret-might not have been what audiences expected. Love Hurts didn’t do well when it was first released earlier this year, but surprisingly, the 2025 film gained a lot of viewers online seven months later after becoming available for streaming.

Data from FlixPatrol shows that HBO Max, Disney+, and Prime Video are currently leading in streaming popularity with their own content. Superman, James Gunn’s first big movie for the DCU, is the most-watched movie on HBO Max, and season two of Peacemaker is the second most popular TV show. On Prime Video, the spinoff series Gen V, a continuation of The Boys, is the No. 1 show, beating out other hits like the teen drama The Summer I Turned Pretty and the action-packed prequel The Terminal List: Dark Wolf.

The pickles show up briefly, only in one scene, but they hold significance. We see this in one of the film’s numerous flashbacks, where famous actor Jay Kelly (played by George Clooney) recalls a visit from the director who launched his career 35 years prior. The director gave him his first acting role in a film titled Cranberry Street.

As reported by Deadline, Stephan James is now part of the cast of I Play Rocky, where he will play Carl Weathers. James is a well-known actor, having delivered powerful performances in movies such as If Beale Street Could Talk, Race, and Selma. He even received a Golden Globe nomination for his work in the Prime Video thriller Homecoming, alongside Julia Roberts. This new role is a great fit for him, as he’s become recognized for playing real people. He was previously also planning to star in and produce a limited series about the life of artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, playing the late artist himself.

“Bone Lake,” directed by Mercedes Bryce Morgan, has a definite idea of the kind of movie it wants to be, but it doesn’t quite go all in. While it’s never dull, a lot of it feels familiar, like we’ve seen these ideas before in other films. The movie doesn’t really come alive until the final fifteen minutes. It ends with a wild, over-the-top finale that’s incredibly gory and, while not entirely logical, is still a lot of fun.

This comparison clearly shows that boycotts aren’t all the same. While campaigns fueled by progressive anger frequently grab attention, they seldom have a real impact on a company’s worth. Conservative-led boycotts, however, have demonstrably harmed brands, caused sales to plummet, and resulted in significant financial losses for investors. This serves as a stark reminder of the differing effectiveness of these tactics. It’s important to note that these are broad generalizations and results can vary.
