Gen V Recap: Advanced Influencer Fluency

Much of the latest episode focuses on the heroes trying to stay out of trouble after Cate’s attack. This would be difficult enough normally, but Vought News is exploiting the situation, framing it as a “hate crime” for their own political gain – a sadly familiar tactic. The young heroes disagree on how to proceed: Jordan wants to escape, as usual, and Emma shockingly suggests killing Cate if she recovers. Marie doesn’t agree with violence, but she sides with Emma in wanting to follow Starlight’s lead and investigate Project Odessa. Even though she’s back at God U and knows she should lay low – her forced social media posts won’t convince anyone she’s okay – she can’t ignore her urge to do the right thing.

Gen V Season-Premiere Recap: Brave New World

The beginning of the “New Year, New U” episode quickly reminds us of what happened at the end of the previous season of *The Boys*, focusing on how those larger events are playing out at Godolkin University. Many conservative students and those who believe supes are superior already think Robert Singer and Starlight worked together to kill Victoria Neuman, and this conspiracy is being used as justification for Homelander’s power grab. Now, Godolkin University is presented as being rid of progressive ideas and is run entirely by supes, including a new, unsettling dean named Cipher (played brilliantly by Hamish Linklater). These ideas clearly mirror current efforts by right-wing leaders to change American universities.

CBS’ CIA Cast Another One Chicago Vet, And It Probably Means Bad News For One Chicago P.D. Character’s Love Life

Natalee Linez will appear in the new CBS series *CIA*, playing a CIA analyst named Gina Rojas. She joins Tom Ellis, who plays a somewhat unpredictable CIA officer, and Nick Gehlfuss, who plays a more rule-following FBI agent. Michael Michele, known from *ER*, will play the head of the CIA’s New York office – a role that seems similar to Isobel’s position in *FBI*.

The Morning Show Season-Premiere Recap: The More Things Change

It’s been two years since we last visited UBA, and a lot has changed. The network is no longer called UBA; it’s now UBN. This is because of a merger Alex proposed to prevent her wealthy (and somewhat questionable) boyfriend, Paul Marks, from taking over the struggling network. Unfortunately, the merger also led to many layoffs and buyouts as UBA and NBN combined and streamlined their operations.
